Here ya go, Magic go all in on shooters! Who cares about defense! LOL.

Seriously all 3 of these guys shoot the 3. We finally have an offensive team! Hopefully with just enough defense to win!

Lakers say no to that I imagine.

Lakers need guys like Isaac and WCJ for next year, but more importantly when Lebron is gone. Black could possibly be the reason they do this as he might be perfect next to Luka long term. Also instead of paying Austin or re-signing Hachimura they save that cap space to bring in a player like Giannis in 2 years.

We hope we play so well next year one or two of those guys stay on a cheap 1 and 1 contract after next year.

I know this would never happen but it's no secret i think both Isaac and WCJ are ticking time bombs.

I am terribly afraid they get injured again and they have both already underplayed their extentsions

Really? because last year when Paolo was injured and struggling the first month back you screamed “we only have one star and his name is Franz Wagner.” lol  Is Paolo no longer lazy as you have claimed?

Did management do a good job on this trade or are they still idiots in your eyes? You’ve wanted a shooter for so long. They got one of the best in the entire league now.

Paolo is lazy on D and rebounds sometimes, it’s part of his game I criticize. This not preclude him from being a star. Although with Mosely’s offensive scheme, his numbers are inflated.

Franz played at a star level when, and this is important, paolo was out. How did he play later and in the playoffs? His shooting is bad and regressing and now has a significant hitch in it, why? So he has regressed from that small widow of star like playing.

I have not commented on the Bane trade so far. Had to let it sink in. Overall I would say that it was a net positive. Getting rid of Cole and KCP is just as good, if not more impressive than adding Bane. I like Bane a lot, but he is not a great playmaker, he is decent at it. Is that enough? Doubt it. It still leaves the team with Imo the ball in Paolo’s hand most of the time trying to create something when he really not that great at it. Until the offense philosophy changes or the Magic get a real distributor. I will be skeptical.

Also four first round picks unprotected for a guy averaging 19 pts. Seems extreme.

I guess you don’t know what a pg’s role is on a team because we haven’t had a real one in decades. I already outlined in my previous post on how having a pg would open up the offense.

Let’s recap: Having someone who can initiate the offense and get the ball to all those guys you just mentioned above in places where they are comfortable scoring from is the easiest way to fix our offensive lulls during games. We don’t post up Paolo nearly enough because he’s busy trying to set up our offense and Franz doesn’t get easy shots because he’s always trying to create for himself. Imagine how much better he would be offensively and defensively if he didn’t have to exert so much energy trying to play Point forward the whole game, same could be said about Paolo.

That’s just a couple of examples on how having a traditional pg would make sense for this team. If AB can turn in to that then great but I wouldn’t bet my entire season on it. So I believe getting at least a serviceable pg would just be good business practice. We don’t need them to start we just need them to be in the 2nd unit to help Suggs and Bane when one of them goes to the bench or if an injury occurs. Not sure where the harm in that is.

+1^. Since I am denied that ability on here.

a point guard is more than just a distributor he is the floor leader. Gets everyone in their correct spot, is vocal, and gets easier opportunities for his teammates. And it doesn’t even have to be a point guard per se. Jordan, Lebron, being two examples. We still don’t have that player.

A HEALTHY Magic team as constructed right now, after the Bane trade and before the draft and free agency

SHOULD BE THE NUMBER ONE SEED IN THE EASTERN CONFERENCE NEXT SEASON

If this is not happening around Feb 2026, we can re-visit this post and discuss.

I’m actually looking for a smaller trade:

Jett Howard + pick #46 to the Nets for pick #27

Frees up some cap/apron space, and gives us another salary-controlled contract for a few years. We pick up a guard (Richardson, Clayton, Traore, Saraf, or Kam Jones) and a big (Fleming,  Raynaud, or Wolf) with picks 25 & 27. Strikes me as almost a free look at a couple guys, at a combined cost of about the same as you would be paying Howard!

REPORT: The Orlando Magic is seen as a potential trade destination for Mark Williams, per source.

They’ve expressed some interest in the young center and could acquire him with a cheap offer. After the Laker saga, Williams’ value on the market dropped but still has potential.

I would consider this depending on the price!

Goga & picks 46 & 57 for Williams & 33. I’ll even throw in a future second round pick or two!
