So it seems like Schroeder is being moved to Utah!!

How can we not get Schroeder! There can’t be a better player for this cheap right now.

SF is not another position of primary need, at least IMO. I can understand your point, but would be another lateral move that doesn't change a lot.

Sure, in an already crowded position, a 3 and D profile that could be easily found at a cheaper price, and only because it was basically the last time we could land a FA. It's not even working that well until know, leading to a even more convinced (forced) experiment of Suggs as a PG. We've already discussed the use of cap space in the past, I like what OKC does, not so much what FO has done in the last 3/4 seasons, and I strongly believe that difference will hunt us in the future.

"What OKC does" and what we have done are basically the same thing (aquire talent, give them modest, often declining, extensions) they have just hit on some UFA/2nd round guys that were happy with the smaller guaranteed contracts because it was guaranteed money (Isaiah Joe, Aaron Wiggins, Lu Dort) and unlike us they haven't yet got to the point of extending their co-stars. 

OKC also have no caproom for the foreseeable future even before they extend J-Dub and Chet. We're basically very similar timelines, we just arrived at them differently because they already had a max contract star on the roster whereas we drafted one from being a rookie.

While I get your other points, cannot disagree more on that. Just check the number of trades (activity, not only resigining own guys) and assets they've, and the ones of our FO. There's a huge difference, in number and even more important, philosophy. When cap space was available, they used it in an agressive way, not just "loaned" it. When you don't have caproom, as you correctly describes, then the available assets are the key, and the difference there is overwelming.

I see what you mean, I agree Presti was a lot more aggressive in absorbing bad contracts into cap room for assets and moves of that nature. Didn't really group that into my thinking of managing the cap but you're right there.
