We care about the fact that the locker room is tight and we've clearly shown we had a deep team that can win while Paolo / Franz were out. "Let's not blow it up yet" is the feeling I would guess that they had. I think they like cohesion to the extreme. I've been on board with patience and cohesion and all that stuff for most of the time because it was seeming to start to pay dividends but now, as the evidence mounts that this team just isn't a contender and doesn't have what it takes to be a contender in its current iteration, I don't really know how you can look at this roster and think "yea we're good". Jonathan Isaac played us, he had a great year last year, got an extension and has been awful ever since. Gary Harris is never on the court. Cole Anthony, I'm tired. I'm tired of having to preface posts with "I like Cole the person", I'm tired of getting 5 good games and then 5 terrible ones, I'm tired of hoping "ok is this the time he's turned the corner" and it's not. You can't be 6'3 and neither a great shooter or a great defender in the league. You just can't. It's time to move on. He's got a great personality, we all love that, but we're trying to win basketball games not popularity contests. I think we've got a serious problem at C honestly. Goga just has these games where he looks completely uninterested, and they usually coincide with when he's matched up against somebody who can score on him. Wendell has regressed (if he keeps up yesterday's offensive aggression he might come around but I'm not holding my breath), Mo Wagner is out for the season and isn't a starting caliber big when healthy anyway. Anthony Black, I'm lenient with more than most I think because I think he's improved in a lot of ways that haven't quite translated to the box score but he has a long way to go as a shooter to be a fit with Paolo/Franz. Jett Howard was a bad pick and offers very little. Caleb Houston hasn't developed. He should be gone in the summer. And if he should be gone in the summer anyway, why not replace him at the deadline? I know who a lot of these guys are and they just aren't players who are going to win at the highest level so why are we persisting with them? I don't think we should fire Jeff Weltman but I also don't think Jeff Weltman and co. have done a good enough job at building on the momentum of last season with acquisitions to bolster this team. Of course it doesn't help that KCP, the major addition they did make, on a team desperate for shooting, is suddenly a 31% shooter instead of a 40% one. 1 Quote

That way no one could complain about us being inactive! Thanks! :P That kind of 2nd round exchange is common in draft day, not at the deadline. Did FO explained why didn't make a move in the usual post conference? Or they're still evaluating what happened? :D Quote

Well, has been a long journey but we finally agree on the state of the team! :) I have no upvotes left, will give it later as I really agree with that post. As for KCP, it's easy to shoot 40% when you playing alongside the mighty Jokic, not so much in a team with terrible spacing and ball movement like ours. That's the reason in offseason I wasn't excited at all to sign him to 20+m for multiple years. 3andD player that could be easily found in other ways and without overpaying in FA. 1 Quote

It’s why so many formerly fine shooters regress when they come to us. I believe that it’s not mostly about them. It’s about the number and quality of the shot opportunities that they get. Quote
