All Eyes On Me Posted November 5, 2024 Report Posted November 5, 2024 Aaron Gordon out indefinitely for the Nuggets, that pick could come in handy. Regarding our latest performance, the sky isn’t falling as fast as it feels like. We had a fun season start and some momentum and watched our budding superstar go for 50. Then we embarked on an extremely difficult 5 game early season road trip. Game 1 of that road trip we would’ve won, but Paolo got hurt around halftime and tried to tough it out. After that game, he was diagnosed with a serious injury and out indefinitely, which is going to take the wind out of any teams sails initially. We haven’t had time to practice, just shoot arounds, and after the Chicago game our last 3 games, which have been uninspiring blowouts have been against 2 teams that are still undefeated, and the defending western conference champion. I wouldn’t be surprised to see us put up a good fight in Indy tomorrow, and as I’ve said before, I will start to ring the panic alarms if we get back home and the schedule calms down and we’re still playing like this. Go Magic! Quote

Go Magic! Good take in a sea of "the sky is falling down, Weltman is the worst, make a panic trade" takes I'm seeing everywhere. (Not specifically here, I haven't actually read the last couple pages of this thread yet, nor have I watched the Thunder game.) Also yea that Denver pick is going to be in the teens at worst I think. Unless someone emerges or they make a really smart trade Denver has at best 7 real rotation guys, one of whom is Russell Westbrook and all that entails. Now they're down AG. Jokic is the best player on the planet for my money but his absurd stat lines and efficiency is only dragging them to mediocrity such is the state of that roster. Quote

JJZFL Posted November 7, 2024 Report Posted November 7, 2024 Magic at Pacers tonight. Pacers five point favorites at home. Unfortunate start allowing Pacers 38 in first quarter. We are down 12. Game not over by any means but we need to win second quarter and have much better defense to avoid yet another blowout. Quote

I think he’s got a decent eye for talent, but he does have a type of player and a tendency to hang on to injury-prone players. I don’t think he is aggressive enough in the trade market and not enough emphasis on a true point guard. I don’t think Mose has a clue about putting together an offensive scheme, and our guys don’t move enough. Our chemistry is great, but our offensive discipline isn’t anywhere close to our defensive. Since getting guys to buy into defense is usually harder than getting them to buy into offense, that lack seems like a coaching and/or management problem. Quote
Jamesdin Posted November 7, 2024 Report Posted November 7, 2024 getting blitzed by pacers should not happen, atleast our defense should slow them down. Quote

Much better second quarter. Down only 4 at the half. Quote

JJZFL Posted November 7, 2024 Report Posted November 7, 2024 Sure enough Suggs comes back in and we look worse. Now 8 point lead for Pacers. Quote
JJZFL Posted November 7, 2024 Report Posted November 7, 2024 Black back and immediately gets a three point play. Do not let Suggs bring it up. Quote
JJZFL Posted November 7, 2024 Report Posted November 7, 2024 Suggs now with two turnovers in a row Quote
