MagicOne Posted December 11, 2024 Report Posted December 11, 2024 Magic fans we just lost to a very good team without our top two players and our best defensive player as well. If Franz and Paolo are playing tonight we wipe the floor with them. It just goes to prove that we will be just fine moving forward until they both return to action. And when they do, we can beat anyone, anywhere, anytime. So now we can get some practice time in and focus on the real season while the NBA and all the other folks drool over the teams that remain in this overrated farce. Personally, I think they should do away with this thing. Or at the very least make some tweaks to it. I would start by eliminating that silly point differential deal. That causes teams to play their players for longer than usual and quite frankly it makes the tournament look ridiculous. No sour grapes. Just stating opinions. Probably a blessing that the Magic are out of it. Now it's time to focus on the real prize! So proud of these guys! Go Magic! 1 Quote

To put it simply, I’d take what we have over what Milwaukee has right now… every day of the week and twice on Sunday. Quote

I would too! As I am sure most Magic fans would. And a lot of NBA fans in general. And now Jalen has the keys and it's his time to shine. We are very close to having a big 3 of our own. And they are all still very young. That's what sets us apart from other teams. By the way, I just found out on the Magic postgame show from Kendra Douglas that the Magic next game will be this Sunday, with the opponent to be determined. Quote

orlandoholic Posted December 11, 2024 Report Posted December 11, 2024 great L. I usually don’t like moral victories, but this game was different. We were banged up before the game and as well during the game. Just fighting til the end! This team is Heart and Hustle with a lot of talent! We get a W if Cole could have had a good scoring game, KCP makes open shots and so on. But only in the NBA you can win a game with a travel layup. Lilliard took 4 steps because initially he wanted to kick it out but the lane closed. Terrible NBA officiating. On top of that they miraculously come out of that coaches challenge and determine it’s not a jump ball and that Porter somehow had possession of the basketball ball. In multiple games i’ve seen that these refs don’t know what possession of the basketball means, or what a dead ball is. Me watching NBA vs Euroleague is like watching Starting 5 Netflix documentary or the new Wagner Bro Documentary. One is fabricated and directed as hell, the other is authentic and feels real Quote
CTMagicUK Posted December 11, 2024 Report Posted December 11, 2024 Yea this team is past morale victories but hard to be too mad about that one. Down our two best players and our best guy to guard Giannis, on the road, against a team with that amount of talent. We played hard and fell just short, it happens. Quote
CTMagicUK Posted December 11, 2024 Report Posted December 11, 2024 Also I think this was a lot of the good and bad of Wendell. He played some terrific defense, battled on the glass, had 5 assists, but it feels like at some point when Paolo arrived he was like "alright I guess I don't need to score now" and he's just never been as aggressive on that end again. I actually thought he might have a big game the way he started but the 3 point jumper seems to have abandoned him now (possibly due to the bad hand injury last year) and it also feels like he's less explosive around the rim than he used to be. Feel like when he first got here he used to get those OREBs and explode back up to finish, now it's a lot of pump fakes and hoping his shot doesn't get blocked or he just throws the ball out to the wing. Yeah, Wendell has zero interest in the offensive side of the ball and it’s becoming a problem, especially in the 2 big lineups we’ve been running lately. Quote

We need to root for OKC to keep playing all of these tough Cup games, Semifinal and championship on Dec 17. Quote
