The point on Mathurin is actually pretty interesting, especially because on paper he seemed to be the type of player we've been missing. Quote
orlandoholic Posted April 12, 2025 Report Posted April 12, 2025 Great game. It seems like whenever Paolo isn’t playing, our role players like to run more and cut on offense. It was also great to see, despite terrible refs, there was no whining, just a little complaining. With WCJ this would went differently.. 1 Quote
All Eyes On Me Posted April 12, 2025 Report Posted April 12, 2025 That 1-6 home stretch with 4 one possession losses including bad losses to the Raptors and Bulls really is what kept us in the play-in. Impressive bounce back because that home stretch could’ve killed our season. Play-in is good experience for the young fellas. It’s pretty much a game 7, which we’ve already done once before. Quote

With WCJ this would went differently.. I agree. I, along with other participants like JJZL have been saying this for the longest. Not running the ball is what has been lacking. When I watch some of the other teams, they push the ball up the floor on offense. Our point guards, not name Jacobs, like to take their time putting the ball on the floor and let it roll across the half court line before picking it up. By running the ball at fast pace, it doesn't give the opponent time to set up on defense. I love the way our bench players played--ball movement and finding the open man. Quote

All Eyes On Me Posted April 13, 2025 Report Posted April 13, 2025 Jaylen Brown sounds like he’s really struggling with his knee. We need to lock up the Boston matchup on Tuesday. At the very least, a series of experience against the defending champs and playing some meaningful games in the Garden would be huge… and maybe we can steal a few games Quote

Luke_FfS Posted April 13, 2025 Report Posted April 13, 2025 Always a borderline decisions in those meaningless games, as you don't want your starters to lose rithm and then having to play an in/out match immediately, but at the same time you want to avoid any kind of injury too. Quote
Albert Lergier Posted April 13, 2025 Report Posted April 13, 2025 If the visiting Denver Nuggets loose to the at home Houston Rockets today and both the Golden State Warriors at home vs Clippers and Minnesota Timberwolves at home vs Jazz win their respective games, the Nuggets would finish in 7th place and fall into the Play-In Tournament !!!! Here’s why: The Nuggets (49-32) are currently tied with the Clippers but hold a better conference record, giving them an edge over Los Angeles for now2. If the Nuggets lose, their record drops to 49-33. Wins by both the Warriors and Timberwolves would also bring them to 49-33. In this scenario, tiebreakers come into play. The Nuggets have the worst head-to-head records against the Clippers, Warriors, and Timberwolves among teams tied at 49-3327. As a result, they would drop to 7th place and enter the Play-In Tournament247. This outcome underscores the importance of today's game for Denver to avoid falling out of a guaranteed playoff spot. Whoa, Albert Lergier! Why are you on the Magics' message board doing a breakdown of how the Nuggets will fare. You know I love you. The Nuggets must be your second favorite team. :) Quote
