Wendell Carter playing 31 minutes and only grabbing 2 boards is truly impressive stuff, in all the bad ways something can be impressive. We talk a lot about shooting and playmaking being issues, which they are, but we don’t talk enough about how bad our Center play is. Dell and Goga can’t rebound, can’t defend, can’t shoot. I know Goga has some fans on here, but outside of a decent like 10 game stretch, he’s been one of the worst players on the team. Especially over the past couple months. I’m starting to spin my wheels on a package deal with Utah that gets us Sexton and Walker Kessler or something like that.

There're teams that are harder for Franz style, like Minnie that has a lot of size inside, he just need to be smarter and adapt. But he was good yesterday, it's not like he's in a bad streak.

Another game without Cole starting, another competitive game, as we were able to stay close in both start of 1st and 3rd. Too bad it's not a coach decision but one forced by injury.

Been posting for years while i drink. While i do feel ashamed a bit, 2012 to 2022 taught me not to accept the  state of the team, just because of fandom. While constant negativity can be a real downer on a message board, we have to rally the fanbase to not accept mediocrity. I like the minds on this board, some have left that had more basketball knowledge then Weltman will ever have. 

We are sort of trained, made to believe that people in charge are competent. Has there ever been a time in history when it's more obvious that this is simply not true?

I, we, this forum, fans of the Magic have been wondering when we are going to get a decent point guard for almost 15 years. That's a long time.

We deserve better. Just to give you context i am a life long Dolphins fan and Chris Grier continues to make the same mistakes he makes every year. The owner is more about loyalty then winning. No, fandom isn't the end all be all but i would like a Dolphin or Magic title in my lifetime. I'm old.

I remember this forum wanting to get point guards like Goran Dragic and Kyle Lowry when nobody knew who they were. And they were absolutely available for nothing. I can mention a dozen point guards more recent. Please understand that a GM who will not make a move cannot make an improvement. And these are the just marginal players like Vanvleet and Conley.

 

Imagine we strike gold with a player like Brunson. Started slow like Curry but was absolutely Championship material but wasn't a "long boi".

 

The champion of this thinking right now has to be Austin Reeves. That player is amazing. Guy can just flat out play. Lakers have done some weird things the last ten years but at least they know talent. Players all over the league that they drafted or gave a chance. People will look at them at say they got Lebron and made the crazy Luka trade but they know talent. From Josh Hart to Lonzo to Randle to At least bringing in Westbrook,DlO,Schroder and so many more players....Dwight!

 

They have tried and passed on more players then we just think about and never get. Don't tell me it's just because it's the Lakers. Offer a guy starting  minutes. Offer a guy more money. Whatever.

I’m there with you hootie. Until ownership stops accepting mediocrity, this pattern will not end. No matter how hard fans scream, it lands on deaf ears. Sadly.

It's all good my man. We deserve better and we will get it. Guarantee from next season onwards we are fighting for championships for the next near decade. I also want a Magic championship in my lifetime and I/we will get it I am absolutely certain of it

Teams are monitoring Trae Young as a potential trade target this summer.

Young becomes eligible to sign a four-year, $229 million extension with the Hawks, which makes it decision time for both sides.

If Young doesn’t sign, it will indicate a trade could soon be on the horizon.
