If Black can do this more, stay aggressive, Franz staying with this ride he’s on, and get Paolo back to  100 and his old self, we are a threat when Suggs gets back.

Exactly that. I'm not worried. Just need to get healthy and we are gonna be a PROBLEM!

This ruff patch builds character..

Great win. That Spurs team is so much better than the record. Paolo with a huge shot, even when he’s in the midst of this rut shows you the dawg he is. Franz is a megastar! Shout out AB and JI. This is the version of AB we need, aggressive scorer. He can do it, he just needs confidence.

Great W! But imma pump the brakes. We had a great shooting game from AB. That won’t be there every game.

This team would be so much better with a PG and playmaking/scoring. Add Trae Young to this team and we are elite. In the 4th we kinda got lucky as we had some bad turnovers by Paolo and Franz. In these situations imagine Trae Young cooking and facilitating to other or getting his own, instead of Paolo and Franz forced to play heads down, dribble in the middle by force.

For now, there is no Trae. But there is Bones Hyland who could really turn his career around with us. He’s in similar situation like Goga Bitadze imo. Just in the sense that people didn’t think Goga is a serious mind when it comes to basketball.

Bones has all the tools of a playmaking combo guard. Why not swing for a player like that?

He can shoot, he can playmaker and he ain’t a terrible defender when he’s locked in.

AB was unbelievable in this game on defense and when he combines that with aggressively trying to score in the paint he's really impactful.

KCPs defense on Fox in this game can't be understated. He was phenomenal.

Franz is currently the best player on this team.

Paolo was horrendous on defense at times in this game and he's still taking bad shots and turning the ball over but he hit some big shots when we needed him, hopefully that'll help him get back into a rhythm.

Important win after a tough road trip.

I was a big Bones Hyland fan pre-draft but two separate contenders have given up on him and the reasoning seems to be attitude and his selfishness. I'd take a look until the end of the season honestly but I'm not going to be mad if we don't do it.

I loved Bones. I'd love to take a chance on him!

Phenomenal win but I’m still concerned about ball movement at the end of games. The strategy seem to be to give it to Paulo, let him bring it up to court and run the offense.  Mostly that involved him dribbling around the top of the key, and then trying to drive against multiple opponents, which had mixed results. It did result in a good assist to Anthony Black for a three point shot, and obviously for the game-winning shot by Paulo. It also resulted in a couple of bad shots. Also a turnover. Fortunately, the Spurs also went cold at the end of the game, and didn’t score on a number of possessions in a row.

I just don’t think that kind of offensive scheme gives us the best chance of winning close games in the future.  The offense should not get that stagnant at the end of close games.

I agree with your take. Our offense seems to be especially at the end of the game give the ball to Franz or Paolo and let the play hero ball.  They can pull it off sometimes because they are both talented but it’s not sustainable.

That game winner by Paolo reminded me of the two back to back game winners he hit against Chicago last year.  I hope he is back to himself after the AllStar Break.

Great win, this has to be the new start of our season, back to fighting and grinding even when things are not going 100% our way. Wrote in the other topic that 8 out of 11 games were winnable, and that one against the Spurs was 1 of the harder 3, let's focus on the next one!
