I don’t think we win this one, and I fear it’ll be another blowout. Feel like it’s safe to assume Carter and Goga will both be out again, so if our only ‘Center’ is Moe Wagner, we’re in trouble. Too bad we had Jay Huff on our summer league team and let him walk.

Nevermind, Wendell is indeed out, but sounds like Goga is in and I expect him to start at the 5. Still think we lose pretty badly tonight because we’re a beat up team in the middle of a long road trip without our superstar and OKC is a freakin superteam with the best home court advantage in the NBA right now.

What roster spot would you have given Jay Huff though?

Caleb

Agreed, I’d be happy to have him on the team over Caleb Houstan. We know that Moe isn’t a big minute Center and WCJ has a terrible injury history, so would’ve rather had a 4th big, especially one like Huff that showed promise over another inconsistent wing.

Makes sense.

I think we will be out matched once again. They’re a tough team to beat when we’re healthy much less when we don’t have our starting C or PF healthy right now.

I hear you guys and I don’t expect them to win either but I hope they dig deep and at least show some competitiveness. They are by no means a G League team and while two important players are out, it’s two out of fifteen.  It’s early in the season, the team shouldn’t be worn out, and I hope to see more than we’ve seen these past few days.  Not making any predictions; just hoping for more.

Any idea why we just can’t just hit a couple 3s? Many are so wide open you don’t even need 2k blinders to make them.

like how many teams other than us go 1 for 15 before halftime and yet keep shooting to end up like 6 for 38?

We look like the worst team in the NBA. No type of creation on offense. Nobody on our team can beat their man off the dribble. Teams are just playing us straight up now without Paolo. I never seen no ish like this on the NBA level. But we have a GM who's obsessed with defensive guys with limited offensive skill. Dan Hurley was like that once upon a time ago, but switched up and started recruiting offensive guys and ended up getting them to buy in on the defensive end. Now, he's back to back national championship and a college basketball legend.

I feel like the only way to solve this situation is to facilitate a trade, one that should have happened in the offseason.

Now we are somewhat limited, also by the cap. We don’t have that financial freedom.

Does Portland wanna tank for this draft class?
who would say no to

Orl get:

Simons, Ayton

Por get:

KCP, Cole, Jett, Bitadze, 2 firsts (Orlando pick Top 15 protection), multiple 2nds.

Rotation

PG: Simons, AB, Joseph, MacClung

SG: Suggs, G. Harris, T. Queen

SF: F. Wagner, TDS, Houstan

PF: Banchero, Isaac,
C: Ayton, WCJ, M. Wagner

in a separate trade, Orlando add Marjon Beachamp for  2nd round picks
