Ty Jerome front running talk. He's done well this season. He definitely didn't kill P5.. we shut him up with the win. He needs to pipe down abit

He would start on this team. I mean, we're starting Cory Joseph in 2025. That was a good comeback by him. It just goes to show you even the players know how much of a s### show our guard position has been, especially under Weltman.

It's hard for me to see posts like this, when you consider that our fascination with tanking led to about 15 years of futility.  And now you want to contaminate our current roster, with lots of young players and two young stars, with the idea that winning isn't important and you can just turn it on and off.

It's really hard to think of any worse idea than this.

we are actually bad enough to loose without purposely tanking.

but yeah, i’ve always read comments like that and we missed out on Doncic and many more because we lost meaningless games at the end of the season

+1

Even if the theory is right (and I'm not saying it is) tanking now would send a terrible message to all the team. Even if we're having rought times, we're not in tanking mode anymore, and we'll need each single game, play.in or playoff, to learn and grow. Each experience will be sorely needed, and sometimes you even learn more from L than from W.

I liked Ty Jerome as an MLE candidate in the summer. Guess not lol

LOL.

At some point we also need to stop the "signing only good guys" rule tough, I don't care if they're amable but than soft as hell and we don't win when needed.

Unrelated example: you could hate all Butler has done before the deadline, he was really unprofessional and he's surely not a likable guy. But you can negate the difference he makes when he's fully enganged and in the playoffs. And he's surely the kind of profile that is out of our radar because he would mess the good chemestry.

would have been a great get at the deadline. I also said he wouldn’t be bad as a two year rental.

But also let’s not act like he wouldn’t have been as smooth of n character in Orlando. He’s playing along because he got a preferred destination and also he’s proving doubters wrong. That’s his fuel. That’s his career narrative. I’m not sure we could have provided this for him

That's why I wrote "unrelated example".

I wasn't suggesting that it was a move we should have made at all, but at some point the "only good guys" policy should end, even if I doubt will happen.

All coaches and players have to realize after this loss to the Rockets that the Magic offensive game / skims are in their infancy. Ugly, ugly, ugly.

They look like pinballs in a pinball machine.....running (if you can call that running) to anywhere and nowhere. Unbelievable.

Also can't believe that Paolo and Franz do not look to play for each other, to complement themselves. What is going on?

Nonetheless, it's still not over yet. We play tonight the Pelicans for another night tomorrow versus the T-Wolves.

Can't wait to see the match between 24 years old Zion (24.4 Pts, 7.3 Rebs,  5.3 Asst, 1.3 Stls, 56% FG) and 22 years old Paolo Banchero (24.3 Pts,  6.9 Rebs,  4.8 Asst,  .8 Stls,  44% FG

By the way, two #1 overall picks and both from Duke University.

Comments versus Pelicans - Refreshing to see our 2 big guns are back playing very good basketball, especially Paolo. Four of 8 from 3's.....awesome !!!

Pelicans are really a bad team. Not sure Zion will like to stay there the next 3 years of his contract.

Comments versus Timberwolves - Forty three from Paolo in this back-to back game, doesn't get much better. Too bad, Franz had a bad 1st half. You could see, it was the Wolves plan to stop him and they were successful. Still with great chance to win at the start of the 4th.... allowing them 40 pts in the 4th is a killer. Caleb six 3's almost single handedly wins us the game. He joined an elite group that has done it this year......about 10 others have done it. Watching Naz Reid (25) in the offseason. Stats: 15. 6, 2 and 39 from 3's. He will be an unrestricted free agent. He is earning $14M this season. I think there is a chance that we get him.

Comments versus Cavs -  Wooooooooohooooooooo !!!! Magic are peaking again....what a nice (roller coaster season) surprise this is for all of us.

The bad news is that we are 3 of 10, in the last 10 BUT 3 OF 5 IN THE LAST 5. Go Magic !!!!

Tough one versus the Rockets (in 2nd place in the West) tonight. Got to do better boxing out and rebounding cause they are the best rebounding team in the league.

If we see basically the whole team hustling to go after the ball on both ends we have a chance...we will have a chance.

I fully agree with this. If we get reasonable contributions from most of the guys on the floor, we have a good chance. If we have two guys playing and the other three watching, we don’t have a good chance at all.

I also agree that the Pelicans are a horrible team. Not sure what they can do to turn it around. Tanking certainly is not going to make Zion want to stay.
