Mac Mcclung in G-League action last night scored 33 points and drilled the game winner at the buzzer to win the game for the Osceola Magic. It was a 3-pointer. I think he made 4 of them in the game. He did all of this with a broken right thumb. The dude was hitting from outside, inside, all over the place. When he hit the game winner, he screamed with a ton of emotion in the direction of the opponent's bench. Things got pretty chippy after that. I think the teams were exchanging words on their way back to their locker rooms. He just seems like a gritty gutty type of player, in addition to being able to leap over tall people and automobiles.  It's a wonder why he has yet to sniff an NBA floor this season. I mean, is he really that bad? The first thing NBA critics will probably point to is him not being a great defender. My reply to that would be "WE NEED PLAYERS WHO CAN PUT THE BALL IN THE BASKET RIGHT NOW!" My apologies for the yelling. It is just mind boggling as to why this dude doesn't get any playing time. I mean at this point, what do we have to lose? 

It’s ridiculous that Mac gets zero time with Orlando on the floor. I don’t get it at all.

Sure, but have you ever seen the breathtaking beauty of a Caleb Houstan missed open 3? Or a Cole Anthony overdribble in to a crowd and throw up a shot from his ass that gets blocked? Or Gary Harris and KCP log 20+ minutes and take zero shots? There’s a real logjam in front of our boy Mac, unfortunately.

I thought I saw it reported as a broken thumb, so I'm surprised also.

Conventional wisdom says the team will be upset by the loss last game and come into this one energized and ready to get some revenge.  The magic are actually favored by a little more this game than the last, 7.5 point favorites vs 6.5 point favorites last game.

Do you guys agree with this?  How do you think tonight's game plays out?

At this point is totally unpredictable. There's not a clear path and continuity anymore.

And every time Cole starts as PG (let alone the questionable thing tonight) IMO is a loss for all the franchise - unability to find solutions and put players in the best role to succeed.

Cole out, Cory Joseph starting at the 1. Why did we spend 2 lotto picks on guards that we don’t feel comfortable playing over Cory Joseph?
