LOL sorry Luke-Ffs. The absolute robbery by the Lakers and Spurs has exonerated all bad trade ideas. No trade can ever be said to be stupid, ever again!

Also Mavs just sent Grimes to Philly.

Wasn't directed to you actually but to the guy that is alcholic too much! :P but I've just noticed the change of page.

The trade ideas are actually similar to the ones we have in the forum before the Luka deal... our fringe players traded for stars, because we're as lucky as the Lakers (that actually gave up AD...)

As for Trae, I've already expressed last season why I believe he's the perfect player to be mediocre forever without winning a single title... not even the useless one played in december.

Hahaha pretty true hootie. I would also say The Spurs getting Fox without their good picks and young players will also contribute to crazy trade ideas as well. Anything is possible!!! Lol

I know it’s a ridiculous trade idea. In a normal world it wouldn’t happen.

But we could have gotten Fox by the terms he was traded for. Absolutely and like i said before i was laughed at Fox trade proposal here.

Don’t agree that Trae would make us mediocre. What i did say though that last years success could be a fluke. A lot of things went our way post All Star game.

anyways. If we don’t do anything this fo is really bad. So many pieces are openly available and we sit on our assets, for what?

We can’t even get Jett Howard minutes. Why draft two more 1st round players? We also have second round picks coming up? Why only cash considerations and not anticipate a trade. Lonzo Ball could be available.

Why is this franchise always so conservative with assets? We can’t convince star players to join here, we have to trade for them.

No, we couldn't, not with the offer you were proposing. Apart of the preferred destination thing, CT already explained all the reasons.

well CT didn’t post the actual proposal i did. He mixed it up.. Either way. If you think we couldn’t have beat the Spurs offer, than that’s your opinion.

The Spurs gave up very little. Cidy Sissoko, two firsts going to Sacramento and a bunch of seconds.

You think a package of AB, KCP 3 firsts and a bunch of 2nds is not better?

Ok..

Well and the Cavs showed some guts when they traded for Mitchell. They all said he only wanted the Knicks. We see how that went.

No need to discuss Fox.

Bottom line is we sleep and others make deals to improve their team. We just don’t do it

Oh yeah this one is really bad too, just overshadowed by the Luka trade. Spurs got Fox for basically nothing, even getting the bulls to take on terrible players!

SMDH. Also trade compensation is subjective. So Bulls literally made two trades with the same teams this past year and only got back their original draft pick. But they got rid of two players taking them nowhere. Lavine should have gotten them a first at least, but they have been trying to trade him for 3 whole years!

That being said i have no problem with the Magic trading first round picks, even two. If they think Cam Johnson can improve our offense, go ahead and give those picks! If it works i'm down.

Is Coby white the answer? I don't know but i don't mind spending a pick to find out. I don't need the team to "win" a trade i just want players who can play.

I’m with you 100% on trading some picks. The way we are right now I want at least Cam Johnson. We need to upgrade our ball-handling and shooting somehow.

Where is TMF at? Lol. The thing is, at this point who would be willing to take him?

I'm here! I just flew back to Daytona this afternoon from my vacation home in Maryland. I'm catching up on comments on the game from posters. I had to prepare for my trip back home, so I couldn't watch the late night telecast of the game.

Thanks, MagicOne for asking about me!   PnvLMB.png

I do, however, agree with All Eyes On Me about moving AB. I've been saying it many times. I don't think he is the future of the Magic. As a point guard you have to contribute more than defensively. The front office needs to pull the trigger.

As my neighbor in Maryland said to me the other day about some warn out sneakers I keep wearing. "It's time to let go."!

Well said. If AB can’t develop an awful lot more than he’s shown so far, then we still need a PG.  We took on two projects when we drafted AB and Jett and neither looks good at this point in time.  Getting tired of projects.

You're the one mixing it up, not CT. That was your proposal, and wasn't including at all 3 first from the Magic.

3 Team Trade for Fox

ORL get Fox

CHI get KCP, Huerter, G. Harris, Orl 2nds

SAC get Lavine, Jett Howard and Orl/Den 2025 1st

In the real world, CHI recovered the control of his own pick, useful now that they're tanking. (I believe that is a poor return too, but that's another story, they were shopping Lavine and had negative value due to his contract)

And... SAC got 3 first and 3 seconds, not only one first, a huge difference. You ask for my opinion? We could have barely beat that offer, but there's no point in discussing it, would have probably be an overpay, especially considering the "preferred destination" issue that I've repeated to you multiple times.

Then, between other ones, there's your Trae proposal: "I’d absolutely trade AB, Isaac, Cole and some picks for Trae Young"

Sure, everyone would as a Magic fan, even I would take that deal even if I value Young really, really low...  everyone in Orlando would except, actually, Atlanta. They've almost the same record than us, same division, they already make their choice with Trae over Murray, and have Jalen Johnson as building block for the future. Why they should accept to rebuild to gift us Young? If they're going to offer Capela+one young prospect+picks for, let's say, Franz Wagner, should we hurry up and accept that wonderful offer?

And I don't even want to enter the Zion part...
