I thought Wendell was good tonight tbh. He, AB and TDS were bright spots. Paolo was awful, and Franz probably shouldn’t have played either OT, he had no gas left in the tank. Paolo has been dreadful in like 3 of the last 4 games. No idea what’s going on, but he’s gotta figure his **** out quick.

Probably went to his head while he was out due to an  injury. There was so much praise for him and Franz being the Magic's superstars, and how much they were needed after their injuries. When he returned to the floor, he thought he could put on his superman cape and save the team.

That's my 2 cents.  :)

I don't know if anyone else here saw the little altercation that Franz had with someone on the Magic bench during a timeout late in the 4th quarter when Miami was on their run. When I read his lips it looked as though he said to someone nearby "don't talk to me like that". And he was pi**ed.

I’m pretty sure he was upset with the refs because that rookie Ware had a dunk right before our timeout and went out of his way to shove a couple Magic players including Franz. Thought Ware might get T’d up but then I remembered Marc Davis sucks at his job.

Having Suggs available would have helped tonight. The defense has been slipping quite a bit during this funk that we're in.

The bench players did win some games while our superstars were nursing their injuries. There was no selfishness and there was ball movement.

To be honest, when there was talk about when Paolo and Franz would return to playing again, I wondered if there was going to be a problem with other teammates not playing the way they had been playing (winning games) while Paolo and Franz sat out.

I wondered whether the other teammates would feel the need to stand back and let Paolo and Franz run the show. Things became discombobulated after their return. My concern became a reality.

I don't know. In a post pages ago, I said Suggs reminds me a former Magic player, Michael Carter Williams. He plays too hard and sometimes out of control, resulting in injuries. He falls on his back a lot.

Suggs fouls a lot too and argues too much with the refs.

I dont think we should trade anyone on this team.

Our team hasnt played fully healthy. Let's ride with the guys we have and let them improve their shooting and team chemistry.

Paolo had a terrible game today and single handily lost us the game, but he is that guy and I know he will bounce back and be great. In the playoffs last year, he was the reason we went to 7 and it was Franz game 7 that didnt show up. Now Franz is that dude too!

Goga being back is huge. Missing Moe is terrible for us, but I think we should ride with all our guys and let them improve.

There isnt a way this season we could trade our way into championship contenders, so dont force anything. If our team improves and gets healthy and gets better at shooting, that is our only way.

I believe in our team even though it's been a rough 2 months.

Weltman stubborn ### better get us a guard. I don't understand how he could watch our team last year with Suggs and Harris in the backcourt, and expect anything to change by replacing KCP for Harris. It just doesn't make any sense. We pretty much will have the same issues we had in the playoffs last year.

Yes and Yes.  I was advocating strongly for a PG over the summer, so I very much agree with Shine.  But even if we had a PG, the mentality at the end of close games cannot be that only 2 players touch the ball, and when the other team keys on them, they just force up nearly impossible shots.  The lack of team play has been a problem for us at the end of close games for a very long time.  It was excruciatingly obvious tonite.  Granted Franz and Paulo were tired but that's all the more reason to share the ball.

Sorry to the two I quoted above but I am out of upvotes.

This must be Weltmans Burner account. Exactly this is what puts him to sleep on improving this team.
It’s pretty clear where we need to improve.

No excuses

im actually kinda glad we lost to a Heat team without Jaquez and Butler. Basically a playin team.

Because winning would have guaranteed our FO to feel comfortable at the deadline. Imo the missing pieces are clear. Playmaking/Ballhandling and a proven movement shooter. Both are available if aggressive at the deadline.

With that said, the Heat were fouling a lot. It got to the point where they probably thought the refs can’t call everything. And that’s what happened. And we suck shooting FT!! This is so annoying
