You know that Jeff Weltman isn't doing the rebrand right?

Billion dollar organisations have multiple departments that are responsible for different things.

I’m pretty certain he wasn’t suggesting that Weltman was responsible for the rebrand as was I. It’s the fact that our organization as a whole should be focused on winning championships and not doing a marketing rebrand. It starts at the top with those who approve these decisions and so far they’ve failed to bring a championship to Orlando much less keeping any of their star players.

This is all well and good to write out.

But explain to me how the marketing department will help us win a championship?

Again it has nothing to do with the marketing department and everything to do with this organizations lack of focus on what matters most.

It has everything to do with the marketing department since they both:

A) have no input on basketball activities

B) will be responsible for the design and roll out of a rebrand.

What are we talking about here? Are we going to pretend organisations can't have more than 1 objective just so we can bash the leadership?

Since I started this thing I'll just say SORRY     it was an emotional reaction to the post     felt bad to see energy going to the rebrand when there is so much else to do    OF COURSe they are separate departments and marketing has nothing to do with basketball activities     Sorry if you felt i was implying otherwise.

Yes if you want to continue being literal and ignore the fact we’ve established this is about the organization as a whole then sure we can say you’re completely right. Does that make you happy to hear?

I knew the context of what he was trying to say along with everyone else and it’s funny to me you fail to see it as well or just want to continue acting ignorant for no apparent reason.

SVG put a curse on this franchise before heading out the door. It's crazy because we were ahead of the curved 15 years ago, and now you barely want to watch this team.

No need to apologize you’re entitled to your own opinions/feelings just like we all are. Anyone who down votes without voicing their opinion is just mad that we’re stating facts about this dysfunctional organization.

I can’t believe the nonsense still coming out of Dallas regarding the Luka trade. The trade was awful… bad asset management, bad projecting of the future, and bad communication with fans.

Harrison bet on a mercurial and (and now very injured) Irving and an oft- injured and past-his-prime Davis to bring them a championship. This despite Luka leading them to the finals just last year.

“Defense wins championships,” says Harrison. Well do you know what matters more than defense? … Availability and the ability to take over games when it matters. If only we’d had the opportunity to land Luka ourselves.

I always thought the Magic were "Kings, but east coast". Mostly last decade, but still. Turns out it was the Bulls! LOL BULLS AND KINGS!

Such sorry franchises, especially the Bulls with the legacy from the 90's and 2000's. Also as to the Mavwrecks! The Luka Doncic trade was always going to be an all time bad trade but i would kill to see these playoffs with a healthy Kyrie and AD. Could have been a "wasn't just LeBron ***** you run".
