2024/25 NBA Regular Season Thread

The balls it would take to pull that off… Unfortunately our FO lacks a pair so unfortunately I don’t see it happening. However that would be a dream scenario for us if we somehow pulled a Lukaesque trade.

Perhaps the Doncic trade will be a silver lining for us to get him next summer. He’s due for a super max extension and if he doesn’t love his time in LA he may decline to resign with them. Then he could outright sign with us in free agency since him and Mose are supposedly really close. Could be something but is it anything?

Sure, we'll have a ton of cap space to sign him...

It’s crazy. Ex Players and players around the league are speculating about the Doncic trade. They know it’s something wrong and that these Billionaires make decisions together.

It’s no coincidence the big markets always get their way.

We are just whitenessing this how these billionaires transition from a decade of the superstars being in place to transfer the new generation to the premier teams

The theory crafting because of the absolutely insane Donic trade is amazing.

In theory you could take the same crazy circumstances that just happened and apply it to a LaMelo to Orlando trade. LaMelo just started his big contract and they are still the second worst record in the eastern conference. They could come out with the same questionable work ethic and defense wins championship things the Mavs GM said.

Boom, LaMelo traded to Orlando for Suggs,AB,Isaac,Whatever.

The Luka trade makes everything seem possible. This works for Trea Young as well. The big difference is we have the picks for a real trade to happen.

I wonder if Quentin Grimes is available for cheap.

Well he obviously was but no longer is lol

Traded to the 76ers with a second round pick for Caleb Martin.

Got this from AI:

Yes, Nico Harrison and Rob Pelinka share a long-standing professional relationship that has evolved into a friendship over the years. Their connection dates back to when Harrison was an executive at Nike and Pelinka served as Kobe Bryants agent. Collaborating closely during that period, they developed a strong bond.

Thats actually crazy and i didn’t know that..

reminds me of the Hennigan/OKC inside job.. Disgusting
