2024 Off-season Thread

Recommended Posts

Schedule is out. Magic have 5 nationally televised games and a further 4 on NBA TV. We open the season @ Miami on 10/24.

We have two 5 game road trips and a 6 game road trip.

Only 2 of our first 9 games are at home. Only 2 of our last 6 games are at home.

13 back to backs.

This schedule kind of sucks at first glance lol

We never could, nobody wanted them; everyone caught on after he used us to increase his European contracts.

I know I know, I was joking :), but a lot of times the rights only are included in strange deals when a team need to give up something just to take salaries in exchange. There were a few in the past in which were involved players that never played in NBA and where drafted 10+ years before, but I cannot remember exactly who.

Orlando Magic: 48-34

Over-Under: 47.5

As with Houston, it's hard to imagine the Orlando Magic going anywhere but up.

Their two best players, Franz Wagner and Paolo Banchero, are 22 and 21, respectively. Both have legitimate power forward size, with legitimate wing games. They can create for themselves and others, get to the basket and have shown flashes of outside shooting ability.

If it all comes together for both, Orlando will threaten for 50 wins.

But even if there are still some growing pains (the likelier scenario), there's enough talent all over the rest of this roster for the Magic to get back to the playoffs.

Jalen Suggs and Jonathan Isaac are two of the best defenders in the league. Wendell Carter Jr. is a solid defensive anchor with some outside shooting ability. Cole Anthony is a good heat-check scorer. And KCP was a near-perfect addition as a veteran who'll take on tough assignments and space the floor without demanding a ton of time on the ball.

Too soon for that, still deep offseason!

Maybe later we can make the prediction thread again, so we can check the results coming end of season.

Not gonna lie, Lonzo looks great in these scrimmages! If it wasn’t for health issues, he’d be exactly what we need!

Id be willing to swing on him in next years FA!

Guard Mac McClung – the back-to-back NBA Slam Dunk Contest champion and 2024 G League MVP – has agreed on a partially guaranteed deal with the Orlando Magic, sources tell @TheAthletic. McClung went to camp with the Magic last season and will again compete for a roster spot.

This may need it's own thread but I saw Dwight Howard is going to be on Dancing with the Stars. Now that should get you through the slow season.
