I really do think Orlando and OKC are going to be duking it out for years. Let's go!

I’d love to know how hard we actually went for Hartenstein

based on the metrics, I would assume we would have been more aggressive unless we liked our guys a lot more than we anticipated.

Im still baffled about our Summer League squad. Some real talent out there.

I like Maledon for while now. Dude needs a legit opportunity.
Same with Todd. He has the tools but he played the wrong position imo. He’s not. center. He’s Jabari Smith without the Iso game. He’s a PF! only played center in the NBA.

and also massively underrated is Jay Huff. One would argue the Magic could have signed Huff and let Bitadze walk instead of paying 3rd string that much. Huff has all the tools.

These three players remind me of M. Wagner and also Goga. Picked them off the streets, they had all the potential but got the opportunity with us and bought in.

I could see all three of those players in a Magic rotation. Maledon is the same prototype player as AB. Gets to the rim better but doesn’t have ABs size. Underrated playmaker

Todd is a stretch PF who plays with energy. Needs to be coached up on D. If he figures it out, he can be an valuable 3 and D player and an ideal security blanket in case Isaac goes down.

And Huff?! I like the dudes game. He’s so unorthodox. Kinda reminds me of Goga. He lacks the strength but he can actually do anything else. He even strikes the 3 ball well.

Can we find a way to sign all 3 of them.

Maledon roster spot (cuz Kelle signs elsewhere); Todd and Huff as two way players. We already secured Queen as a two way.

That’s a premiere way of using those spots.

We are secretly building a helluva G League team as well.

Envy OKC why?

Seem pretty obvious. For everyone that is not over-optimistic at least! :P

Adrian Wojnarowski on the Orlando Magic: "They have the best young forward combination in the NBA."

Boom!!! Agree. We’re very similar in our core to Boston, just five or so years younger.

Yep and Paolo is gonna be way better than Tatum and Brown.. Franz maybe too..

We are about to embark on the greatest magic team ever and win at least 1 championship

Franz deserves the max. He's somehow become underrated and underappreciated by a fan base that was watching Dwayne Bacon and James Ennis on the wing less than 5 years ago.

Since getting drafted in 2021, Franz Wagner is

1st in points

2nd in rebounds

2nd in assists

2nd in steals

1st in threes

1st in field goals

2nd in free throws for the Orlando Magic.

He was not as good last season, his 3p% was way down and he was subpar in the playoffs. I don’t have any objection to Franz getting a new contract, or the length, but I am concerned about paying him a full max after a down year.

He improved across the board last season except from 3.

He was still, comfortably our 2nd best player in the playoffs. Go and look at the stats. Jalen Suggs shot 29% from 3 and had 3 turnovers a game in the playoffs but somehow it's Franz getting tarred with the "bad playoffs" brush.

Everyone remembers he had a bad game 7 which is obviously easy to understand given it was the biggest game but the Magic don't make game 7 without Franz. 34/13/4 with 0 turnovers in a game 4 win when Paolo had 9 points. 26/5/2 in game 6 when all our big 3 show up to force a game 7.

He had a really ill timed terrible game in game 7 (Jalen Suggs incidentally shot 2/10 from 3 and had 5 turnovers in that game also) but I don't believe he had a bad playoffs on the whole relative to expectation for a 22 year old, in his first playoff series, against a team he's always historically struggled against in the regular season for stylistic reasons. He didn't put up the insane stats of Paolo, but he also played considerably better defense than Paolo which shouldn't be forgotten.
