2023 NBA Playoffs Thread

I'm hesitant to make sweeping comments based on game 1 but it doesn't look like the Heat have an answer for guarding Jokic. Got whatever he wanted.

Yeah, it’s hard to predict a sweep in the NBA cause random stuff happens from game to game, but the Nuggets are in a completely different tier than the Heat. Denver wasn’t super sharp last night and the game wasn’t close

What about Heat fans leaving the arena in a NBA final with 4/5 minutes left in the game? (and game wasn't completely over either, as MIA was back to -9 with 80 seconds to go or so)

It’s what they do. Just like the 2013 Finals game that Bosh got “the rebound” and Allen hit “the shot” against the Spurs, will never forget the amount of fans rushing the door trying to get back in because they left too early.

"Heat Culture" apparently doesn't translate over to their fickle fan base.

Imagine leaving a Finals game early as a Heat fan. You're the Heat. You legitimately came back from the dead in a Finals game in the past decade or so.

Miami is the most fair weather fan base in sports. And it’s not fair weather from season to season, or even from game to game, they’ll straight up give up mid game. The 2013 example really bugged me because it was an elimination game and if they lost they were done after a solid season. You’re not gonna hang around to give your team some love until the clock hits 0s on the season?

Braun virtually"closed" the game for Denver yesterday. Another example of rookies that are not top players, but are able to find a role even in contender teams. (and that's not simple at all when rotations are often reduced at 8 players). Great value for them at 21.

Players with high basketball iq are way too undervalued if they can’t 360 dunk.

I’m talking to you WeHam. and most teams in the league.
