This game was the same thing i have been yelling about all season... why can we not guard the 3 point line?

We’ve only made more 3s than our opponent 18 times this year. Real bad combo if you can’t shoot and can’t guard

I was hoping for vets too at the deadline, and without paying them too much actually, just having someone inside the group that is able to teach. We actually got one and waived him.

Healthy starting linueup and losing by 20 with a tanking team is a no-excuse game. I keep hearing that future is bright, but you've to fight in every facet of the franchise to earn that bright future.

There's a difference, in my opinion, between adding vets who contribute to winning and have a long term vested interest in the team (via being under a long term contract) and thus can hold the young guys to a high standard every day and develop meaningful impactful relationships and adding vets who are just vets.

I think part of the issue is the coaching. Mosley won’t be the coach if/when we’re ever ready to compete again

Bring back Vooch this off-season on a team friendly deal to be the 6th man

I'd actually do it. Don't know if anybody else would including Vuc and the FO.

EDIT: not actually sure if Vuc is the backup C we really need but I always liked him as a player and person. And also it'd just cap off that Chicago trade perfectly.

I agree that Vuc isn't the type of backup C we need (rebounding/defensive specialist). I also agree that he always seemed like a pretty good person; but my favorite point is it really would be the ultimate capper to that trade!!! LOL!

The scary thing is that the exact type of backup C we need, is actually Dwight Howard! Too bad he's such a head case!

Maybe Dwight 3 or 4 years ago. Dwight now is nobody's ideal backup C.

No, no, and no. He is not the hard defending and rebounding veteran presence this team needs.

Also this coach holds NO ONE accountable when it comes to effort on defending the 3 point line. That is THE serious problem!!’

There's a big difference for sure, but there's also a big difference on overpaying a vet who contribute in the short term, but is out of our age window for contending. Or one that is not really worth the overpay. At this point we have no veterans of the cheap kind at all, and we seem to lack leadership too. I'm not sure I would go to the FVV route (or other similars choices) just for adding that. Standards shouldn't be driven only by players paid a lot. And yes, I agree with All Eyes on Me that coaching is part of the problem, pointed that multiple times. Actually, even if we've good young talent, we also seem to have multiple problems to solve.
