A lot of guys in the media take a long time to move their predraft boards in meaningful ways. I expect most are waiting to see how players hold up when they move into conference play. For example Dariq Whitehead, coming off an injury, has had a putrid season so far but he's only fallen from 9 to 16 since June despite not really looking like a 1st round pick so far. CTMagicUK 1,480 Report post Posted December 19, 2022 Man I don't know if he's going lotto but I love watching Terquavion Smith. Gives Bones Hyland vibes who I was high on in college too. Super fun shooter, deep range and off the dribble. Quick with the ball can really get into the paint. Concerns about his finishing in the paint (he's improved as a sophomore considerably but still unsure how that translates in the NBA), his defense and his weirdly low FT% though. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Or better yet look at all the open looks we're currently missing he could be there making. And imagine how much more space Franz and Paolo could have to operate if he we had a guy shooting 10 3s a game and hitting 40+% of them. I'm almost never a guy who advocates picking guys who are just shooters (or any guys who only consistently flash 1 skill) lotto. I was lower than most on Nesmith and Kispert to name two shooters off the top of my head. But 6'7+ 19 year olds who shoot at this volume and efficiency with this type of varied shot diet are pretty few and far between. When the skill is this elite its worth betting on.
