From Zach Lowe:

”The Magic are 18-15 since bottoming out at 6-20, chiseling within sniffing distance of the play-in. The returns of Cole Anthony and (finally!) Jonathan Isaac have crowded the rotation, and in an effort to get everyone run, Jamahl Mosley has risked minutes with both Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner on the bench. Orlando is bleeding points in those minutes; opponents have outscored the Magic by almost 8 points per 100 possessions in that 18-15 run with both Banchero and Wagner resting, per Cleaning The Glass.

It's hard with so many deserving players (Isaac is right back to being an all-position wrecker on defense), but Mosley may want to keep one young star forward on the floor at all times.”

I almost always agree with Zach Lowe. Most of this board has been complaining about Mosely’s rotations with them as well. You should always have one of your best two players on the floor unless they are in foul trouble.

Cap Space Projection: $19-58 million
Roster Count: 13 players (including two first-round picks)

The Magic can generate up to $58 million in cap space but that would require waiving all their non-guaranteed players, including Jonathan IsaacMarkelle FultzGary Harris, and Bol Bol. Without waiving anyone, they could get to $19 million in cap space and slightly more if they decline Goga Bitadze’s $2.1 million team option for next season. Alternatively, they could re-sign Mo Wagner to a significant raise and operate as an over-the-cap team again, giving them access to the $11.4 million non-taxpayer MLE instead.

Funnily enough I'd say he's somewhere between the two.

He's actually a really productive shot blocker when he gets playing time (2.7 blocks per 36 for his career). And a pretty great offensive rebounder (3.5 OREBs per 36 for his career). He's a terrific finisher (shoots over 70% at the rim) despite not being the most explosive. Has attempted 3s with not so great results 25% for his career. Has flashed some passing. Looks pretty mobile at least on offense.

I think it's a smart move. See if he's another Mo Wagner or Bol where he just needs the right setting to develop. He's still only 23.

Thanks for this info.
