So? you can't tell me Ignas is worthy of a spot? I kills us in games when we actually need them.

He’s not a regular roster guy, but is on a two-way contract. He is up and getting minutes because we are short on healthy forwards. Once the Lakeland team starts playing, he will spend most of the time there.

Just because other players were worse, doesn't make AG not a bust. In other words, better than horrible doesn't mean good or valuable, it just means less horrible. However someone views AG, what's indisputable is the franchise definitely was hoping for more out of a 4th overall pick.

Since Dwight was traded we've had six top 6 picks:

2013 - Oladipo - 2nd
2014 - AG - 4th
2015 - Hezonja - 5th
2017 - Isaac - 6th
2018 - Bamba - 6th
2021 - Suggs - 5th

So far none of them have turned into franchise players and half of them are gone with Isaac (who I believe is the best player of the group) so far not contributing much because of injuries. These picks are supposed to result in a Tmac/Penny/Dwight type of player. Obviously not all the time, but at least sometimes. It's what high picks are for. We're going on nearly a 10 year rebuild since Dwight was traded and were forced to purge the roster and start completely over directly because of our inability to draft a true franchise player.

They desperately need Suggs to work out, if he doesn't it's going to set us back another several years.

Unfortunately franchise players are uncommon.  It’s an important reason  you and I agree on the futility of tanking.  You’re lucky to get 3-4 franchise players in a good draft, less otherwise, and half of those may fall outside the top five.  So I don’t know that a benchmark for success for selections 3-6 would be a franchise player.  A good solid starter on a good team is probably a fair expectation.

oladipo and isaac were good picks. the other 3 were bad, at least bamba is improving a bit lately. jury's still out on suggs/wagner.

agree on the whole point, though. We should have done better with 6 picks on the top 6 in an 8 year span. and that is without counting elfrid, who was a failure as well

Love how people across the internet were having a meltdown over us taking Franz over someone like Bouknight and here we are playing Charlotte - Franz starting and having an impact; Bouknight unable to crack the Hornet's rotation.

Where the heck is Chuma and what did he do to his hip that has caused him to miss all preseason and regular season games to date?

Need to get him and Isaac back already..

Markelle needing more time is understandable
