OFFICIAL GAME THREAD - Magic vs Pelicans - April 22nd, 2021

Not sure how you can come to that conclusion when half the players on the court tonight will be replaced with superior talent This is not the Magic’s team at all, it’s like saying the thunder losing now is an indication for their next season, it’s not their team at all

The good news is that Chuma is gonna have plenty of Bricks to build a house with after this one

Stop it! hahahaha!

You and JJZFL come up with these one liners that are too funny.

So the following starters and regulars are hurt:

Fultz, MCW

Ross

Ennis, Porter Jr

Isaac

Carter Jr

Meanwhile, we also traded away three starters and some reserves. So one can make an argument we’re down 7-10+ guys.  This isn’t really a coaching problem. It’s an intentional management decision mixed with medical problems.

Also this rookie class did not have a summer league. A real training camp or a true offseason to develop — they should have some of it this summer. Some guys will jump way up next year.

You build habits over time.  There is no way that a string of games like this don’t negatively impact player development. We are creating a bunch of losers.  And many of them will be on the team next year.

I mean, who do we have out there (nightly) who isn’t already an NBA vet that is realistically part of our plans moving forward? Wendell (who is almost practically a vet at this point), Cole, Chuma, MAYBE Hampton, and MAYBE Bamba. If Randle, Canady, Hall, etc. are playing anything but garbage mins next year, we are going to be equally awful whether we keep games close now or not.

This team needs new coaches that can adapt to the new NBA. The rebuild should start with new players and a new coaching philosophy.

I agree.
