CTMagicUK Posted February 19, 2021 Author Report Posted February 19, 2021 This is a great draft for Weltman and Hammond: Cade Cunningham is a 6'6 guard with a 7'0 wingspan. Evan Mobley is a 7'0 big with a 7'4 wingspan Jonathan Kuminga is a 6'8 forward with a 7'2 wingspan Jalen Green is a 6'5 wing with a 6'7 wingspan Scottie Barnes is a 6'8 forward with a 7'2 wingspan Jalen Johnson is a 6'8 forward with a 6'11.5 wingspan James Bouknight is a 6'5 wing with a 6'9 wingspan Ziaire Williams is a 6'8 forward with a 7'0 wingspan Moses Moody is a 6'6 wing with a 7'0 wingspan Usman Garuba is a 6'8 big with a 7'0 wingspan That's like half of the first round. CTMagicUK Posted February 26, 2021 Author Report Posted February 26, 2021 The Magic currently have the 6th best lottery odds and the toughest schedule the rest of the way. Quote

CTMagicUK Posted February 27, 2021 Author Report Posted February 27, 2021 Jalen Green makes so much sense for us if we have a top 5 pick but not the #1. He's a terrific athlete, decent size for a 2, still learning to make the correct reads on both sides of the ball (which gives me pause because I'm usually more drawn to guys with a natural feel for the game) but he's already shown he's a really solid catch and shoot 3 point shooter (from NBA range) which should enable him to play off ball with Fultz and hopefully grow into the role of a primary wing scorer/initiator. And by all accounts his defense has already improved since the G-league started which is a good sign. Quote
Soul Bro Posted February 27, 2021 Report Posted February 27, 2021 I really want a top 5 pick. Reading that Cunningham’s comp is Grant Hill just makes me want to draft him all the more. Green also sounds like a great fit. The one thing I want to steer clear of is a player who can’t shoot. Quote
All Eyes On Me Posted February 27, 2021 Report Posted February 27, 2021 Just get a top 4 pick, assuming someone takes Mobley in the top 3 which I fully expect it’ll guarantee us one of Cade, Green, or Kuminga. Also all for getting back in to the late lotto with another pick, even if it costs us next years 1st. Gotta double down on a strong draft class Quote

Just gotta hope we end up in the top 4 Quote
CTMagicUK Posted February 27, 2021 Author Report Posted February 27, 2021 I actually think a pick in 7-10 wouldn't be a disaster. Bouknight, Springer, Williams could all be great picks. Quote
Soul Bro Posted February 27, 2021 Report Posted February 27, 2021 Cade dropping 40 in college. We need this young man in O-Town! Quote
