I can't envisage a world where Kuminga and Barnes can play together (in fact there's an argument to be made that they both play the same position) so I'm not really sold on a scenario where we get both.

To play together, sure you’re right, but strictly from an asset management and BPA move it’d make sense when the plan to be move one or both of them. I guess it’s more likely that if either of those guys are available at 8 we trade down and collect more assets.

So do I.  I just hope we will not overpay for good or kinda good like we did with Biyombo or Fournier etc...  That cap space is precious so don't waste it!  I don't care if we have to lose a player or two instead of overpaying.  Hopefully they will have a plan to maximize all of our assets with their contract time tables.

Well overpaying for good/not great is fine if you already have that star. I am holding out hope that one of our picks or pre-existing players becomes that guy but I won't feel too bad if they don't as long as we move on when something better presents itself.

I am honestly hoping that this rebuild isn't rushed to the point where if it's not obvious that we have something to build around, then we continue to change things up until there is. We got stuck on the merry go round with inadequate talent before. I'd really hope this management sees it the way we do.

What does that mean in practice?

I feel like in prior years we didn't do this kind of thing where we announced exactly who we worked out? Maybe I'm misremembering because of Covid last year...

What we is need 2 guys that can already shoot the ball into the basket efficiently. I don't care what their names are.

We had them, Fournier and Vuch.......

I just learned that Keon Johnson had 0.78 PPP in transition. That is absolutely dreadful for someone so explosive.

He is in the conversation with # 8....can he improve his shot is the Q.

What do you think of Vrenz Bleijenbergh with #33? There are videos of him out there.....this pick # 33 is another important player that can be developed into a solid role player.

not umming and ahhing over who may be a centrepiece and take 8 years to go back to the start?***eek, forget that**

Editing because yes, I clearly worded that incorrectly. I hope this FO actually gets a clear flight path if you will, hate the carousel. Martins meddling has been mentioned lately. I just think that whether or not it was meddling or indecision brought on by similar pressure, nothing of use toward championship aspirations was identified. No Ibaka debacles, no Aaron Gordon point forward experiments to "unlock potential", just letting guys cultivate things that they are going to be good at and if we don't arrive at a number one scoring option - don't nail everything to the floor and say "ok we've had enough time, let's run with this.. whatever it is"
