I hate to say it but with Evan still here with, excuse me I just had a little throw up in my mouth, we should have traded AG.

We have been saying for 3+ years that this was gonna be his break out year. I really like his heart and hustle but he has not proven to be that alpha dog. He defers to Evan and Vooch like a little puppy.

We should of gotten whatever draft picks we could of had and someone who can shoot.

Is he the one that defer like a puppy, or is he just following what the coach/style/FO ask him? Do you prefer players that only care about their ego and their shots? It's years that we seem to be really happy with Nik-Evan running the show... unfortunately for Aaron he's stuck on that situation.

He's not an all-star clearly, but he could be a really useful player in the right system. We've not used him properly yet... a lot of times actually, we've used him as a SF in a league trending small.

My main hope for this season is that we find an Anthony/Fultz starting backcourt is a feasible option going forward. Evan’s playoff performance, to me, was his last straw... if he played even somewhat decent in that series, we take Milwaukee to at least 6 games, maybe even 7

I couldn't agree more, except I have been tired of Evan for the past two seasons. Additionally, I never agreed with contract, especially with the players choice at the end of it!

Something new we could see featured in Khem Birch’s game this season is a corner 3-point shot, which he has been spending a ton of time working on. If that is incorporated into his developing offensive repertoire, that will greatly benefit him and give his Orlando Magic teammates more room in the paint to attack.

Entering his fourth season with the Magic, Birch has only attempted two 3-pointers in his NBA career, both misses. The one he took last year came in the final seconds of an early November game’s third quarter against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Stretching the floor will make it easier for him to play next to another big man, like Nikola Vucevic. Last season, right after Jonathan Isaac’s first knee injury in early January, the two started together in Orlando’s frontcourt for 13 games between Jan. 3 and Feb. 6. Defensively, they were fantastic together. During that stretch, the Magic had the NBA’s fifth best defensive rating. Offensively, however, they really struggled, ranking 28th on that side of the court. Much of that had to do with limited space in the paint.

“I’ve been working on my game so I can play with Vooch this season,” Birch said. “Working on the corner threes, so when he gets the ball in the post he can kick out, and also being more aggressive. When I’m on the court, a lot of teams tend to think I’m not a threat. I feel like playing with Vooch, I have to be more of a threat this season and that’s what I’ve been working on this offseason.”

I don't really want to see a lot of Vooch, Birch, and Gordon lineups

Clifford has specifically mentioned how good the defense was playing Vuc and Birch together and how it's something he'll do this year...

Why?!

Unless Birch becomes a real corner specialist in the PJ Tucker mould I don't want to see him playing anything but Center.

Birch is smart, he already know where the minutes of Isaac and Aminu will go... unfortunately for us.

As repeatedly said, even when everyone was healthy, there were more possibilities to have Vuc and Birch together at PF/C than Gordon/Isaac.  Hasn't make sense at all for me, honestly.

The one thing I’ll say about Birch is that he plays within his role. If coach sees that he can stretch the floor, I hope that’s true. It would completely change his career trajectory.

and so it begins... a broken big toe might as well be a broken foot. Hope y’all are ready for some Bacon

4-6 weeks seems to be the time frame. I'm optimistic about Bacon being able to carve out a role but now he's going to have to be good from the jump because otherwise the only scoring we have on the bench is from the rookies.

EDIT: no idea why it quoted Soul there that wasn't intentional.

Yeah, it’s tough too because our early schedule is our easy part. Hard to imagine getting off to a hot start without Terrence, but hey, plenty of opportunities coming for Cole and Chuma at least
