If we trade AG for Gary Harris, Keita Bates Diop and a 2nd round pick Ill be giving up on Magic basketball. That is one of the worst AG trades I've ever seen suggested. (For what it's worth I'm not a huge fan of any of those trades)

this one might burn your retinas

Wall is owed $131M over the next 3 years.

I honestly think there should be a ban on fan blog suggested trades. This trade is my exhibit A. I honestly don't think we would make that trade if the Wizards added 4 more first round picks.

EDIT: I should clarify that I don't think there should be a ban on posting fan blog suggested trades, they're fun even though they're never realistic. I think someone should literally stop fan blogs from writing their terrible trade ideas.

Would you ever trade AG for someone like Michael Porter Jnr?

Serious due diligence would need to be done on his character and maturity before proceeding. Last thing we need is a toxic locker room.

Personally, I felt MPJ’s comments to the media in the playoffs about Joker and Murray needing to pass more were damning.

Regardless, if you agree with him or not, those comments need to stay within the organization.

Won’t embed for some reason, but New York Post says we’re interested in DSJ again (still?). Also hints the Knicks want to move down from 8 and there could be something bigger in the works. #shrug# at least we’re getting talked about again

Confusing one. Unless we don't bring back Augustin, which it really seems like we want to, I can't see where DSJ gets minutes and I can't see it being a good thing trading a guard who can shoot for one who can't. Add to that I really can't see what we have to offer to move up from 15 to 8 and get DSJ (although he doesn't have a lot of value).

Bamba + 15 for DSJ + 8? Would we do that? Would they? That's the only deal that looks feasible unless you start throwing multiple players in there in like a Fournier +15 for multiple expiring contracts + DSJ + 8.

Are we trying to start some PG rehabilitation center? We'll take your once highly thought of PG and make him good again.

I have no idea if it's true but I just like that there's something to speculate about.

Just checked, DSJ only has a 6'3 wingspan so... Probably unlikely.

I've thought about this. I think New York are putting out a lot of smoke about trading back to try and reduce the price of trading up. Ive already seen a rumour that if 'Lamelo or Wiseman don't fall to 8' they're trading back. Maybe we thought they might be open to just giving DSJ away and called to see if they'd do like DSJ for filler and a 2nd rounder or something and they've tried to spin it.

With Isaac being out, and the current holes in our roster to be filled due to free agency, I would have to agree; though I do think any odds at this point in the pre-draft, pre-free agency process are ridiculously premature. We currently have about 1/2 a roster under contract (8 players), which goes up to 10 if both Fournier and Ennis opt in. If we choose to take the team option on Frazier (I hope not) or sign Okeke to his rookie deal that would be 11 (or 12). Assuming we don't pull another draft & stash type move with our first round pick, that brings us up to at least 12 (excluding Frazier).

1) Fultz

2) Fournier, Ross

3) Isaac, Ennis, Okeke

4) Gordon, Aminu

5) Vucevic, Bamba, Birch

First Round Pick #15

That leaves us three regular roster spaces to fill, and no definite backup PG. Even if we are planning to bring back Augustin or Carter-Williams, I think it still more likely we look for a guard with our pick, and presumably a combo guard. I've seen a couple of mocks with us picking Hampton, and if he's been working on his shot with Mike Miller, that may be a steal. Yes, Isaac will be out, but presumably Aminu and/or Okeke will be slotted in to fill some of those minutes.

Our current roster guys "on the bubble":

Augustin, Carter-Williams, Iwundu, Clark, Frazier, Johnson (2WP), Law (2WP), Second Round Pick #45

Also, if Mike Miller has done a good job working with RJ Hampton's shot, maybe we should try to hire him in as an in-house shooting coach to work with Fultz, Gordon, Okeke, Isaac (when sufficiently recovered) and whoever else we may draft/sign/re-sign. (I'm specifically thinking of Carter-Williams and/or Iwundu if we re-sign either, and continuing to work with Hampton if we draft him).

I was thinking about this the other day. He was highly regarded in his time at Memphis, and he had a history here. But he did voluntarily walk away from coaching last year, so I wonder if he would want to come back so soon, and have to uproot to do it.

on the other hand, if his kid decides to go to Florida, uprooting may be a benefit

Mason Miller doesn't have an offer from Florida so that won't be happening. And his younger son is still in HS where Mike is the coach.
