They hit a monster 3 to go up 94-90 with less than a minute left and lose 98-94.  Ugh.

Well. Vegas was right on the spread.

It’s embarrassing how at the end of games we only have 3 players capable of doing anything. Fournier, Tross and Vooch. It basically turns into 5 against 3 with Fournier usually forcing something. Until we have a player who can finish a game the way Devin Booker did tonight we will never be anything other than a 7-8 seed who gets swept in playoffs

Great point and how many years have we be saying that exact statement?  We will never go anywhere or be anything until we get a great player.

We just need to keep trying to build this defensive minded team and then get that superstar scorer we have desperately needed for years now.

Good post. This was VERY apparent in the playoffs last year, which is why I’m in favor of taking the short term lumps of trading guys like Fournier, Augustin and perhaps Vooch (although Bamba is FARRR from ready).

Is it Vooch who didn't know what to do, or is it his teammates? Others, like Fultz, found themselves in similar situations.

That was one game for 47 minutes and a completely different game for the final minute.

I’m not a huge Vooch guy either but he hit two clutch 3s in the final 3ish minutes. Is he really getting this much flak for the late post turnover? Fultz’s turnover was way more damning.

Agreed here. Markelle had 2 awful turnovers down the stretch that cost us the game, and Evan forced an awful rushed shot down 3 with 15 seconds left where he didn’t use any clock, didn’t run any sort of play and tried to jump in for a foul. As you mentioned, Vooch hit the 2 huge 3s... he also clearly got hacked on his turnover that everyone is whining about.

What a weird game, if you only watched for the last 5 minute stretch in the 2nd and the last minute of the game, you would’ve thought Booker scored like 50, but we actually held him in to 24. 17 of them came in that 6 minutes, he only scored 7 in the rest of his 31 minutes on the floor.
