2019-2020 Official Trade Ideas Thread

Recommended Posts

So here is a fun post, not super serious more for discussion. Many of us have said the future is Fultz and Isaac. Agree or disagree let's just make them untradeable.

Our two most productive players, at least right now, have to be Evan and Vucevic. So if we want to win now and have a future, these four must stay. When you start talking trades and the Magic one name always comes up.......Gordon!

What if i told you we could keep Gordon and still make a trade! Yes sir folks, we do have assets!!They might be fan favorites but Ross,DJ and Bamba are assets!!!This is going to be my main point, we do have players we could trade besides all your favorites.Lets add Aminu's contract as an asset. Sucks that he is injured, but it's not hopeless.

  Lets evaluate the 3 assets.

Ross is a good signing. He is a big guard, can hustle and really learned to play better defense the last two years. However, he is the epitome of streaky. This goes all the way back to his rookie season. Not irreplaceable, but a fan favorite.

D.J. is another great guy. He can get really hot from the 3 and has some nifty ball handling skills. Hard for us to duplicate because this team lacks ball handlers. However he has a tendency to over dribble and can be a sieve on defense because he is just too small.

Bamba is what he is right now.....not that good. Check out his recent stats. Playing in 8 of the last ten games he is shooting about 45% from the field and 15% from the 3.If he is not the offensive unicorn we dreamed about he is almost useless. He doesn't move well without the ball and he doesn't set screens well.He is not an elite shot blocker either, not bad but not elite. He has been in league one year less then Isaac and while the former looks like a DOTY candidate Bamba looks lost.

So in conclusion we do have ways to make a trade without sacrificing our future or this years playoffs.

Our two most productive players are the reasons why we continue to be a treadmill team. We keep latching onto them expecting different results.

What teams might want Bamba? If we’re keeping Vooch, which might be the case, we need to look at trading Big Mo.

After Vucevic's handful of good defensive games he's fallen back down to earth

Where we're at might be ok for the next 6 months.

So glad you posted this! Here is my trade proposal.

Why the Kings make this trade. It's well known that the Kings made a few signings they regret.3 players in particular Dedmon, Ariza and Joseph. Dedmon is the one they need to get rid of the most. Also it's also well known they can't resign Bogdan because of the Heild and Barnes contracts.

In come the Magic, because Ross is cheaper and cost controlled and so is Bamba. If it was just those two i think a deal would be stupid for the Magic but the real upside is getting Bjelica. We basically get 3 players who can shoot the 3. If Dedmon gets back to his usual self i think he is what Bamba's ceiling is, except we get it now instead of two years from now. Bjelica needs no explanation too any of you who watched last nights game. Bogdan is the wild card. Having another wing helps us tremendously this year as he is more consistent then Ross. Next year i'm betting we could sign Bogdan cheaper then Evan and we still have a forward signed cheap who can shoot the 3 In Bjelica.

Then what? It’s not going to change on it’s own. It’s not going to change repeating the same off seasons of the last 5-6 years.

Why are we in a rush to build a contender around our 21 year old point guard and out for the year forward?

An opportunity will present itself. We don't need to make another ibaka move.

Are those 2 really pieces to build around? Specifically offensively. I have my doubts.

No. Not another role player trade. A trade that we can build around for once.

At first blush, I kind of like this idea.
