Magic Vs. Grizzlies - Friday, Nov. 8th at 7:00 P.M.

The bench unit kills us. Completely stagnant offensively. Not having a good Ross, or a Ross at all has hurt them, but they’ve flipped the score two games in a row. Gave up the 28-6 run vs the Mavericks, and now gave away an 11 point lead away. I don’t know how, but we gotta find a way for that bench lineup to not be completely inept offensively

I wonder if the problem is that we are trying to get more free throws and everyone is driving all the way into the heart of the defense even when some of our guys have no driving ability. We need to let the talented drivers go all the way to the hoop and the rest just need to pull up from mid-range. We are just driving into a clogged up interior and we end up too deep to pass it out. We have success when we move the ball with purpose and cut to the hoop. Pick-and -rolls and drive-and-kick are the other ways we score.

It would be nice to get free throws, but we should not try to be something we aren't. Defending and running for fast break buckets would be a better area to focus on improving, and we are capable of doing that well.

I think once a few threes to actually fall we will get back to respectability from deep, but we need to devote a portion of every practice to 3s. If we don't do that, players need to use some free time to get it dialed in. Making shots will help to improve all areas of the game.

Have the Magic improved at all tonight hitting 3 pointers ? Did their shooting percentage at least go above 25 percent in the first half ?

Fournier looks real good this Q but we are 5/21 overall and hit only 2 in the first half

Edit: 4/20, Fournier hit a suuuuper long 2

That was the most surprising 3rd quarter ever.  They managed to look like an NBA team.
