I think we need to explore options first with Fournier and DJ.

That’s the thing though, I feel that we’re at the swing for the fences superstar trade to put us over the edge point and we have to give up something to get something. Just dealing DJ and Evan will be a lateral move at best

nah. Getting rid of Fournier will be a good move. Dj is expiring and will likely bring either a pick or a good shooter.

Like most of you I think we should try to trade Fournier and Vuc. But what can we get for them? It is unrealistic that we get a player like Beal, Brown, Booker etc. for one or both of them.

Personally I would try to trade Fournier and maybe a future pick for LaVine. I think LaVine could help us a lot on offense. Also I like his contract. Then try to trade Vuc for Steven Adams (Jan 15). Adams would help us more on defense (specially on the PnR). His contact is „just“ for 2 more years. By that time Bamba should be ready to be the starter.

Fultz/Augustin/MCW

LaVine/Ross/MCW

Isaac/Ross/Aminu

Gordon/Isaac/Aminu

Adams/Bamba/Birch

Oh I made a meme about this

How about Buddy Hield wonder if Kings would take something from us for him. I think he is on his final year with the Kings, cannot recall his defense but his offense is pretty good.

He just signed an extension so he's difficult to move

You think Hayward’s hand injury makes it more or less likely we trade for him? He should be back around the same time Nik becomes tradeable

Not sure I understand the logic of signing someone in free-agency with the idea of trading them later.  Feels like that's an idea talked about on message boards, not in NBA front offices.

I think we have to proceed under the assumption that the Magic brought these players in with the idea of having them on the team for the duration of their contracts.

Guys get signed and then traded later that season all of the time.

Last year it was Trevor Ariza, MCW, DeAndre Jordan, stauskas, Jabari, among others

Except when you’re the Magic and do everything backwards.
