Not really, it just means (again assuming Fultz plays at a reasonably high level) that he won't have to force things as much.  His numbers might go down a little but he'll be more efficient at what he does do.  He's our best and therefore most important player for now, arguing his level of importance is impotent.  If he's as good as his contract dictates, he should understand that taking a step back so the team can step forward is a good thing that benefits him.

I'm not entirely convinced because I think the less you do on the court the easier it is to replace you with a less talented but more specialized guy.

But to your credit the main thing holding vucevic's efficiency back is his three point shooting. And he was a 39.9% three point shooter when left wide open last year and that dropped to 17% when just considered "open" (which is typically when they're not being defended but there's at least a guy running out to force him to think about attacking the closeout).

So it's possible that if Fultz has gravity on his drives that dj/Evan don't currently have and that results in more wide open "pop" opportunities for vucevic his efficiency would improve.

But we do get back to the "if vucevic's role is more of a pop guy and a dumpoff guy and less of a facilitator, what sets him apart from Dedmon who is better at that stuff plus has rim protection?"

So first we talk about trading Fournier and Mozgov for Wiggins.

Now we've moved on to trading Vuc for D'Angelo Russell.

For a group of fans that hates these players on our roster, y'all sure are over estimating their trade value.

lol @ Vuc for D'Lo

Russell doesn't fit Golden State and there's only so many trade options for a good but not great point guard on a max deal when 21 or 22 teams already have their guy.

I just think its funny that nobody here thinks Vuc or Fournier are pieces to a winning, contending team, but those same people seem to think they are pieces we can flip to easily acquire those said pieces, in deals that are entirely friendly and beneficial to our team.

We have a "treadmill" team, but apparently are just sitting on all of these amazing deals that are just gonna instantly turn us into a contender.

Do we still have the rights to briscoe? I thought when he went down last year we waived him

We have his non-bird rights because he played for us for a year. So technically we can sign him and give him a 20% raise on his last contract. And we can go over the salary cap to do this. Waiving a player has nothing to do with having rights. We still have the rights to afflalo

He's not contractually tied to the team right now and there's no restrictions on his free agency. So if any team wants to sign him they can.
