For it!  Is grant gone? I hope.

He's a free agent and I can't imagine we'll bring him back.

I think the magic need to see if they can turn Augustin, Fournier, and our 2020 pick into DeRozan.

I hate DeRozan so much but it makes sense...

Demar DeRozan's stats

STATS
Regular Season
Postseason
Career
GP MIN FG% 3P% FT% REB AST BLK STL PF TO PTS
77 34.9 48.1 15.6 83.0 6.0 6.2 0.5 1.1 2.3 2.6 21.2
7 35.9 48.7 0.0 86.4 6.7 4.6 0.1 1.1 2.3 1.7 22.0
752 34.1 45.1 28.3 82.8 4.3 3.4 0.3 1.0 2.2 2.0 19.9

Evan Fournier's stats

STATS
Regular Season
Postseason
Career
GP MIN FG% 3P% FT% REB AST BLK STL PF TO PTS
81 31.5 43.8 34.0 80.6 3.2 3.6 0.1 0.9 2.8 1.9 15.1
5 35.0 34.8 23.5 75.0 3.2 2.0 0.0 1.4 2.8 2.4 12.4
457 28.0 44.6 37.1 80.5 2.8 2.5 0.1 0.8 2.4 1.6 13.5

DJ Augustin's stats

STATS
Regular Season
Postseason
Career
GP MIN FG% 3P% FT% REB AST BLK STL PF TO PTS
81 28.0 47.0 42.1 86.6 2.5 5.3 0.0 0.6 1.4 1.6 11.7
5 28.2 48.8 47.6 87.5 1.6 3.8 0.2 0.4 1.4 1.4 12.8
807 24.1 41.3 38.1 86.3 1.9 4.0 0.0 0.6 1.5 1.5 9.8

Considering that DeRozan has already proven unable to take a team past the 1st or 2nd round, and kills any spacing since anyone can cut under screens, and he can't hit the 3, why would you trade two of our better 3pt shooters and a future pick for him? I'm not a fan of Evan, but DJ has more clutch gene in his right hand than DeRozan has in his whole body. He is fool's gold, and the first step on the road to long-term mediocrity.

1. It wouldn't be long term mediocrity as he'd be on a 1+1 deal.

2. He'd be a bridge player that lets us move on from vucevic and play a style we're more suited for.

3. He's not great but he can carry scoring. That's important with the amount of question marks we have on that side.

4. Augustin is 32 and expiring. He shouldn't impact any trade discussions. We can replace him for the MLE.

Is this serious? No way Derozen can be had that easily.

So what are the FA options to replace Ross and Vuc at their respective positions, and what is an expectation of what they will receive offers of in FA?

We can make a list, eg:

Ross - x mil

Lamb - x mil

Etc

What do people think about bringing back MCW and Birch?

Birch, definitely, clearly without overpaying (love him, but you can find that kind of players for cheap like we did with him - was playing in Greece)

MCW: depend how much management is confident in Briscoe. I would like them as a third play, high energy and hustle guys. I could even accept them as second option, but I wouldn't keep them both. Too similar. If Briscoe has more upside, keep him.
