With that being close to March it wouldn't be surprising if his next team just held him out the entire season as to not risk his health just to come back for the final 16 games or so. But Rudy Gay was injured in January and played the following preseason, 8 months and change after his injury. He might miss a year but he will not be able to return to a same level of play in less than 18 months. I still think it will take him two full years to be 100% healthy. I mean, a lot of people end their career because of this injury. The smart thing is to accept the supermax offer from Golden state. Demarcus Cousin is going through similar Issues and is 2 years younger. They are both the Same height and about 20 pounds different. He was once considered a top 5 player in the league prior the injury. I dont think there is any team willing to offer him max money at this moment.

They have to offer him the Max money without question and he should take it. If he is in a position to miss 2 years from this, it will be ideal for him to sign a 5 year vs a 4 year contract somewhere else and get the most money. I believe there are going to be other teams offering him max money, but some will be more hesitant as he might lose 2 years of the contract from this injury. I mean, That is 41 milliions per year or a possible total of 82 millions that you will be throwing away. Then you will only have 2 years left with him. I see the knicks been the only crazy team to do this. In my opinion, this injury raise his chances to stay significantly. I say, 90% chance he stays. Resigning depends on KD's mindset. If he wants more titles and GS gives him what he is worth, he stays because with him GS is the best team in the NBA. If he wants to be "The Man", the franchise I think there is a good chance he goes to New York. The one thing we know is predictions are useless as we found out when he left OKC a few years back. Will be interesting to watch.

MagicOne 119 Report post Posted June 12, 2019 First of all prayers go out to KD. All the best man. What a shame. Heartbreaking to watch. And what do you all think about the Raptors fans cheering his injury ? Anyone here ever hear of karma ? How sweet it would be for the Warriors to come back and win this thing. I know it is probably a bit of a long shot now but you never know. Regardless I think we are going to see a game 7.

They were Cheering for the play, steal and dunk from Ibaka. At least, I want to think that. They later gave him a standing ovation as he was been escorted out of the court. The raptor fans are very emotional and seems to want this championship more than the players. I will give them a pass as they were just too much into the game. 1
