The value of Ball is at an all-time low right now. Not sure what happened to the guy.

He’s in an offense that doesn’t play to his strengths. Lakers are a complete mish mash of talents. Their identity is “we have lebron”

Agreed. He’s actually pretty talented. And I say this as a Laker hater.

Keep an eye on the 5PM EST waiver wire. Monday is the last day to waive a player on a non-guaranteed/partial contract and not get charged the full salary. The list of 20 players include Ryan Arcidiacono, Shaquille Harrison, Alfonzo McKinnie, Michael Carter-Williams, Patrick Beverley, Tyrone Wallace, Christian Wood, Tim Frazier, Jahlil Okafor, Kenrich Williams, Trey Burke, Noah Vonleh, Isaiah Briscoe, TJ McConnell, Richaun Holmes, Quincy Pondexter, Lorenzo Brown, Royce O'Neale, Ron Baker and Chasson Randle.

Nikola Vucevic to the Lakers for Brandon Ingram, Michael Beasley, & a pick

Many speculate if the Lakers will make any moves this winter, as their cap space will be their most important asset come July when the likes of LeonardThompson, & Durant become available. While adding Vucevic will dig into that space a bit ($19M cap hold after 2018-19), this is a player who can elevate them immediately this season, shouldn’t require a full-max contract this offseason when an extension is needed, and compliments the pieces they have in place already. While many (myself included) are high on the long-term potential for the Ingram, his $7.2M cap figure next year is likely too rich for a team that will be in 100% win now mode come 2019-20.

I don't really see the Lakers doing this until the brow situation is resolved

Awesome! More forwards that don’t address are needs!

I mean if you get Ingram for vucevic you have to do it. Can flip him for something later

Or then you can flip Fournier for a long term solution at PG.

Bamba + Birch are probably not ready to manage the center position, but that can unlock some Gordon-Isaac pairing at PF/C, that is due in modern basketball.

New PG - Augustine - Grant

Ross - Ingram - Simmons - Iwundu

Gordon - Isaac - Bamba - Birch

A lot more balanced then our current roster IMO, still competitive for playoffs, while if you want to think long term, attaching some other asset in the Fournier deal, maybe we can clear the future cap just worsened with the added salary of Ingram.

(too bad LA would not do that in any world)

The Brooklyn second rounder for Burke would solve some problems. Cut Grant.

Get'er done! Would NY put him on waivers or would we have to trade for him?
