I think a trade would have to look like Bayless and fultz for vucevic and picks. But that only clears 4 million in salary for them.

In theory but I don't think he'd agree to it. They could also stretch him.

Apparently we've got Isaiah Briscoe (ex Kentucky) working with us at the moment. Coach Cal tweeted it. He had a great season in Europe last year. Might be a smart pickup.

Give them the Jeremy Lin poison pill. Like $8 first year, then $16M next 2 yrs. If we go after a RFA, make them clench their butts while matching.

VanFleet would be such a bad signing to me.

You guys really like him enough to want him on a 4 year deal? Really?

I’m entirely comfortable saying DJ is a better player than VanFleet. And call me crazy but  Fleet doesn’t strike me as the type of player that has some huge upside. He literally projects as DJ Augustine who we already have.

Imagine paying a guy 16 mil when you have the same player on your team making less than half of that.

I don't think you can do that with the MLE. At most can do a 5% raise on the original amount, unless I understand incorrectly.

EDIT: 16 per year would be ridiculous anyway. I think we should be looking at a Simmons-esque contract.
