I think Grant will easily prove to be better than Payton.

His defense alone will prove to us he is part of the “wingspan philosophy” ... At least there is a method to the madness.

I’ll get a discussion going.

Who wins more games next year Magic or Bulls? (explain yourself)

Note: This is assuming both teams are healthy for the sake of debate.

With Vuc as our starter 30-35. Without Vuc as our starter 42 games.

Should be Orlando.  I don't see how Chicago will be able to defend well enough to win more than 30 games; and their offense shouldn't be potent enough to offset how many points they give up.

We should in theory defend well enough to give ourselves a shot to win games where our offense is subpar.

So Chicago's lineup last year was basically Dunn-holiday-?-markkanen-Lopez

This year it's going to be dunn-lavine-Parker-markkanen-Carter

They had their great run last year running a Grant-zipser-nwaba-mirotic-portis bench unit. That lineup messed with other teams by just playing with high energy.

They're definitely more talented now, but who defends LeBron? Durant? Giannis? And so on...

He's not really in the Payton archetype though

I guess what I meant is what we thought Payton would be. We thought he would be a better defender and we all knew his shooting woes.

I see us winning more games and that is mainly because our bench is better. I do see us splitting with them tho.

Yeah. Though I feel the need to continue to point out that there's a big difference between poor shooting and "not being able to shoot".

Grant has a three point attempt rate similar to Kyrie, Courtney Lee, Beal, Otto Porter. He just shoots 34ish%

Payton just doesn't take them
