I'd give up our pick top 3 protected and Simmons for Rozier

I don't think Rozier is good enough for a top 3 protected pick when our recent history has been "bad but worst in the league bad".

In theory, you'd give up the #4 pick in next year's drafted for the RFA rights to Rozier in a summer where there may be more cap space than good players to sign? That's too big of a risk for my taste.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are actively looking to move point guard George Hill and sharpshooter Kyle Korver this offseason, league sources told Amico Hoops on Thursday.

The Cavs are facing a rebuild with LeBron James’ departure. The franchise wants to unload Hill’s massive contract and, ideally, acquire draft picks in exchange for Korver, sources said.

Hill, 32, is due $19 million in 2018-19. The Cavs acquired Hill at the February trade deadline from the Sacramento Kings and were hoping they finally addressed their point guard situation after Kyrie Irvingwas traded to the Boston Celtics.

In the 24 regular-season games he appeared in with Cleveland, Hill averaged 9.4 points and 2.8 assists while shooting 44.4 percent from the field and 35.1 percent on 3-pointers. During the Cavs’ Eastern Conference postseason run, Hill posted 9.7 points per game and shot just 25.7 percent from beyond the arc. He missed three games due to a back ailment as well.

In the NBA Finals against the Golden State Warriors, Hill’s production and numbers dipped. In the four-game sweep, Hill averaged a mere 7.5 points. His matchup, Stephen Curry, averaged 24.3 points.

The Cavs drafted dynamic guard Collin Sexton with the eighth overall pick in the 2018 draft and have no aspirations to bring him off the bench. Cleveland is aware Hill won’t be fond of being reduced to a bench role and has been on the phones trying to find a new home for the veteran guard, sources said.

If the Cavs can’t trade Hill, a buyout could be possible.

As for Korver, the 3-point specialist has two years left on his contract. He’ll make $7.5 million annually and the Cavs intend to gauge his trade value in the hopes of obtaining multiple draft picks, sources said.

The 37-year-old averaged 9.2 points in 73 games this past season and shot 45.9 percent from the field and 43.6 percent from three.

Hill for Biz works money wise

I'm not giving up our pick for 1 year of Rozier on the cheap and several years of paying him huge salaries. Just because a draft is considered weak doesn't mean it will shake out that way. Usually in those kind of drafts there are surprise stars drafted in the teens which is exactly around where we could be picking.

I do like the idea of Vuc for Demarre Carroll though.

Did you watch Hill last season? No thanks.

Also, I love Scary Terry, but Boston’s not trading him. Not with the Kyrie rumors out for there and him hitting UFA next summer.

Biz has 2 more years left on his contract @$17M per.

Hill is guaranteed $19M next year, but only $1M is guaranteed in 2019-20.

Yes. I said RFA rights. Someone offers him $20M or more and you either match at an inflated price or you let him walk. No thank you.
