I know who he is as a player. That is not the question nor my concern.

What is it that you like about his coaching abilities that are above other good options out there?

If we are making a decision on what goggle says then we have real problem.

Hello, I just saw this forum and signed up, to be honest, I am not sure how I feel about Stackhouse, it seems like another Jacque Vaughn hiring to me for some reason

Yea i can see that. I think the coaching aspect is overrated here. We don't have good players to begin with. I'd be OK giving a new/inexperienced coach a crack at it. If he gets the players' attention great; if not hire another guy in a few years when (hopefully) we have some talent on this team.

I do think Magic will end up with Nurse though but if Magic ends up with Stackhouse then I will have to hope for the best!

wow, I've listened to and read about an hour and a half material on Jerry Stackhouse. Please allow me a quick summation of my findings.

*hard nosed dude yet understanding

*understands what players have to sacrifice

*would completely hold dudes accountable

* a real BA dude yet kind and give you the shirt off his back

* was coached by some of the best coaches in the game: Dean Smith,  Rick Carlisle, etc. and has learned a lot from them.

*really focused on player development

I took the name off the top... doesn't this look like the perfect coach?

All of this apply to Jason Kidd and maybe  Vaughn to some extent.

The question is in regard his coaching abilities, cause I dont want any Jason Kidd  or another Vaughn over here.
