That is such a bone headed play. This is why his option was not picked up. Yes he's playing better. BUT WHY OH WHY shoot the three from that deep. you only need a two to tie. There was plenty of time left on the clock.

You still pick the option up.  The why revolves around management's decision making abilities.  Poor shot selection just because it was so far away, he could have pump faked Mark and had an open three.  He was the man tonight either way.

He had no choice.  You take the shot you can get.

The problem wad we had Mario run to the top of the key while Fournier was also running to the wing. Crowded that area resulting in the deep shot.  That would be fine if the play call was Simmons drive with Fournier and Mario drawing attention from the paint but how it was actually executed was crap

It was a bad shot, but it wasn't like he was getting much help from the rest of the team. And there really wasn't that much time left.

24 points on 14 shots, 6 rebounds, 4 steals, 3 blocks. This loss was in no way on Mario.

The play was so bad i think Mario was supposed to set a third screen for Evan but called his own number instead. Because that can't be what Vogel intended.
