Let's say this is a 6 man draft and Porter falls past 5. Anyone think there's a scenario where that 6th pick team doesn't want to take a chance on him and would trade the pick for Vuc and/or Fournier ?

my dream scenario, Magic snag Young / Sexton with top 5 pick and trade for 6th pick to get Porter.

future Lineup

Sexton/Young

Ross

Porter

Gordon

Isaac

That's a promising core there

About the same chance that Blake Lively would leave Ryan Reynolds for me.

I don't know who Blake Lively is and my wife feels Ryan Reynolds is overrated,  I believe in you.

Draft Gods haven't been on our side. I don't see it changing.

I don’t buy this logic anymore. The Magic made some incredibly bad decisions during Henny’s last years, giving away great young assets while adding average vets. Meanwhile, a team like Indiana ended up with three assets that should/could of be on our team: Dipo, Sabonis and Turner. In the end, Henny had no clue how to build a competitive team.

And the new guys did what in this last draft that gives anybody a reason to be optimistic?

Weltman and company made a solid move by signing JSimms, granted he is not a star, but solid for his contract; still better off the bench as a energy play maker. In 2018 Weltman/Vogel are officially on the clock and they probably won’t have much room for error. I expect we will try to shed some salary and begin a slow build focusing on culture and player development; it’s going to be a slow crawl, but sustainable long term. Just my ho. Being a Magic fan is truly an exercise of patience!!!

Regarding the Issac pick, It’s hard to pass on that kind of length and athleticism; not to mention he’s a super quality kid. I’m going to trust the process thinking this administration knows of the available Point Guards in this draft or potentially the opportunity to snag one through the trade market.

Yeah that was stupid. Is that all on Henny though? We know that was a win now move that probably was what upper management wanted. Also have to put that on Vogel because a GM makes moves based on the coaches philosophy.

I was referring more to Cleveland getting Wiggins instead of us because of ping pong luck and NY snatching Porzingis before us.
