I get why people aren’t into him but if you really watch his tape I think he could be one of the safer players in the draft. Love his passing.
Mack1085 57 Report post Posted May 16, 2018 Arguments about the last few games of the season are really tedious at this point. Sacramento won 2 more games than us and got the 2nd pick. They got lucky last night and we didn't. The focus should be hitting with this high pick (because #6 is still high in this draft), developing Aaron and Isaac, finding the right coach for our team, and picking a direction now that Weltman and Hammond are out of their season of evaluation. You don't need the #1 pick to be successful. 1

Just a boring prize for our ****ty season. Like when teams draft a guard in the top 10 in the NFL draft.

Beating Phoenix, the Knicks, Dallas and Washington to close the season is NOT tanking. Simply put we won our way out of a top 3 pick by not tanking, either out of not knowing how or not willing to tank. My Hope is that, someone falls, and we get lucky and our pick at 6 turns out to be a great player. Not likely we are back in the lottery next year but hope springs eternal. It is not worth it to flirt with fate the way Dallas did. If we were sitting here today without a pick because Silver decided to make an example of us for blatantly tanking by sitting a healthy Gordon/Vooch/Augustin, you'd be complaining about how Vogel was too stupid to not disguise it a little by playing our main guys just a touch. We tanked as much as possible without falling into an unnecessary level of risk.

Oh totally I get that and don’t disagree. But personally I wouldn’t be mad with the selection. Id be fine going carter over Young if the top 5 goes the worst way possible for us. I will admit though that as against Young that I am I understand why fans would be “excited” with that pick.

Originalticketholder 133 Report post Posted May 16, 2018 Porter, jr, if healthy first (imagine Ben Simmons with a 3 point shot) or Trae if a center does not fall our way. We need players who can spread the floor and can shoot.
