Some "experts" are saying Wagner is too much of a slow old school center that would have done well 20 years ago but not today. Thoughts?

He is not really a center. He is more of a Ryan Anderson type of player

Then we don't need him.

Why not? We only have AG as PF with Isaac playing the SF position.

With Bamba, Biz and Birch covering the center position we might need a PF/C that can play both positions if needed. Like Sabonis does in Indiana. Wagner can give us that extra help.

He's big and slow which doesn't fit well in the modern NBA

He doesn't really fit what we want to do

Givony and others are saying the 2019 draft might be the worst in a while.

yeah... lol

BUT we all said the same about 2013

Now it has Giannis, Oladipo, McCollum, Gobert, Porter Jr., Steven Adams who are all stars for their respected teams.

There's always someone in the draft that can help you of you first help yourself

He is a 40% 3pt shooter the last 2 years so he will have a role in today's NBA, probably a stretch 5 off of the bench like what Vuc should be.

Like Vuch could be if only he could shoot the 3 somewhat consistently (which he can’t)

The thing is there are so many other players that although they may not shoot quite as well from 3 can do a lot of other things a big slow guy can't do. In college playing against smaller guys you can get away with it but against pros he'll be an end of bench guy.
