No he's not.

It's pretty close to impossible for a guy that bad defensively in college to improve to anything near passable.

I've watched more than you have.

how much of his defense has to do with his 37% usage rate? context.

possible: blind assumptive statement

I just assume given whenever I post video evidence to support my stance he doesn't watch it.

Count the different ways people give him the benefit of the doubt.

1. His defense was bad because he was too tired from playing offense

2. He had that usage because his teammates were bad.

3. His poor shot selection was due to his teammates being bad

4. His turnovers were high because he tried to do too much.

5. His poor efficiency was due to defenses defending him too hard.

6. Any negatives about his game will be improved because he's a freshman

What's 7 going to be? His team finished 4-12 because they were tanking?

After taking some time to weigh our options at 6 I really think we should take Trae. What this team really needs is a dynamic scorer who can put pressure on opposing defenses and relieve pressure off of guys like AG and Isaac to be our go to scoring option. We are a whole different team with a healthy JI on defense. Scoring has got to be our focus In my opinion.

You do understand that even the sorriest NBA players are much better than most college players right? I dislike VUC and Fournier with a passion but if they were in the NCAA together right now they would probably win a national championship. My point is that with Trae playing with much greater talent you should see a lot better production out of him.

He'll be defended by much greater talent too.

I get why people want young (though I clearly don’t) but I don’t think any decision on who we draft should be remotely based off our current roster. If Mgmt thinks (for some reason) young is the best player at 6, fine draft him. But don’t draft anyone cause you think he fits with what we have when in reality what we have is predominately trash.

Take BPA.

I can’t imagine that being Young but maybe I’m wrong. If for some reason we’re only taking a PG I’d go Sexton. He translates better to me with far less bust potential.

That's fair

I also like Elie Okobo. Look him up.

Yeah this is what I expect from you know who. Not you.

Disappointing.

I did and it was flawed in some ways.

At this point, given what we know of our management, I will be very surprised if they draft Young. I tend to think they want either JJJ, Bamba, Carter or Sexton. All fit the typical profile of their type of guy. Porter, given his upside, could be a sleeper. That all said, I'll support any cat we draft.
