By checking out physically I hope you mean have a few big guys slam into him from different angles, have him do a few body rolls into camera men, have him do some awkward bends,  do some very off balance landings coming off a dunk,  and falling down hard on his back after getting fouled hard. Bad backs and basketball really don't mix well. They can be fine 1 day and then out of the blue get tweaked and you get a month of downtime, or worse, another surgery. Trust me on this, I've had a bad back for 30 years. My Xrays are good and most of the time it's great,  but once in a while something doesn't go right and I am in terrifying pain. We already have Isaac as our designated miss most of the season/injury prone player,  let's not draft a 2nd one when there are much healthier prospects available.

This is really, really obsessive.

I don't care who we draft healthy or not the moment we draft him I'm declaring him a future hall of famer and a dark horse to be the best player in the draft. I do this every year it's my overly optimistic spirit and it's the only thing that holds me over until were a winner again. just to be honest lol

I would be really unhappy about that especially with healthy players on the board that are as good or better. How will everyone else feel if we draft him and he becomes Grant Hill 2.0 as far as playing time vs. rehab/more surgery time?

Injuries can happen to any player...Porter Jr. doesn't have a monopoly on career threatening injuries.

That's true, but at this point of our rebuild we are desperately needing to draft a difference maker.  I don't think we can afford the risk of taking someone with a known problem over someone that doesn't. Let some team that can afford to take that chance draft him and we take a ready to play guy with no known physical problems.

Boston is the only team that can afford that chance, not even the Cavs
