The last thing you want to do is build around a 29 year old player who's game is entirely predicated on something that declines significantly at 30. Especially after a major injury that can exacerbate that decline.

It give me hopes on Mario. Maybe he will sign for a 5 mill per year contract. 

hopefully teams use Lou contract as a starting point for this offseason.

This is all true.  Monroe was picked up almost immediately, there was certainly interest, it just didn't make sense for PHX to trade him.
