The Chicago Bulls are reportedly moving on from Nikola Mirotic, sending the forward to the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday in exchange for center Omer Asik and a first-round pick, according to Vincent Goodwill of NBC Sports Chicago.     

In December, Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times reported Mirotic asked to go to another team and was willing to waive his no-trade clause.

Mirotic, 25, is averaging 16.8 points and 6.4 rebounds in 25 games. He's been the Bulls' best player since returning to the floor following a facial fracture suffered in a practice altercation with teammate Bobby Portis. 

The Spaniard is shooting 47.4 percent from the floor and 42.9 percent from deep, marked upticks from his tepid performance a year ago.

Taking on Asik's contract is a pretty high price for a mid 1st round pick

Loving Mirotic in New Orleans, helps spread the floor for Davis and gets to play in a competitive environment, something Euros are really big on

I don't like saric's fit here.  Think we need to focus on height, length, athleticism, switching on defense.
