Henny has been fired!

Recommended Posts

Regardless of what you think about hennigan, we're going to be in trouble long term if the non-basketball people keep meddling with the basketball plans.

1. Hire a guy you trust.

2. let him shape his vision

3. get the ***** out of the way.

they can provide guidance. they can provide the perspective of ownership. They shouldn't be hiring coaches or adjusting plans on the fly.

Yep. Hire a guy to create a great organization who knows the game of basketball, and get out of there.

there's no chance in hell.

The organization doesn't want to start from scratch. They want someone to come in and shuffle the roster so that we're back on track. That's not what hinkie does.

I don't think any of us are qualified to say "no thanks" to anyone without knowing actual credentials.

Was he not part of our decision making the last couple of years?

You're probably right, but I don't know if that will take us anywhere.

Confused by the Scott Perry ousting. Different mind. Different voice. Most experience out of everyone there. He would've done Cousins trade.

Marc J Spears

Don't understand this. Scott is widely respected w/ experience in Seattle, Detroit, great relationships, different voice/style from Hennigan

Sam Amick

As @MarcJSpearsESPN noted, Magic would have had DeMarcus if not for Hennigan's concerns. Scott wanted him, was confident he could connect.

I feel like not taking Cousins was the better move anyway.

Hinkie made one "good" draft pick in Embiid, who might end up going the same direction of Oden, if these injuries never get figured out.

He also ruined relationships with multiple agents with his shenanigans.

I haven't seen much from him besides the ability and willingness to tear apart a team and very obviously tank.

No thanks.

our front office is not a homogenous blob of consensus opinions. He could be responsible for every good move we've made in the draft and several moves we didn't make but would have been good in hindsight. He could have been responsible for every bad move we made. We don't know.

Hennigan gets ultimate responsibility as he makes the decisions. but for all we know Lloyd was pushing for giannis over oladipo. or he could have been pushing for tyler ennis over payton. we don't know.

This is why we cant make declarative statements on GM hires.

In some ways but he's probably the closest thing we'll see as a star player for some time.
