Vuc 16.5

EF 18.0/2 1 assists

EP 13.5/8.4 assists

AG 16.4

Ross 12.5

Good thing AG and EP became friends with them at the break and were allowed by Vuc and Fournier to do more. Its definitely because of their friendship and not balancing out the roster/lineup.

Not just balance but roles were changed. Fournier was no longer dominating the ball. Payton was. Fournier dominating the ball is not conducive to efficient team basketball.

Precisely. But its easier to have EP dominate the ball with shooters around him and Gordon cutting/catching lobs vs two centers on the floor and Gordon standing in the corner.

We should have never been in the situation to put Fournier in that role. Thats a failure of Hennigan and Vogel.

I agree. Vogel was actually really disappointing last year scheme wise and with his rotations. I acknowledge that part of that was lack of talent, Ibaka playing like a ***** (at least early on), and just learning how the pieces fit together, but as someone else mentioned a page or two ago, the idea that Ibaka and AG never really played together at C and PF respectively is hard to fathom. Vogel has to adjust to the league and the team and that's concerning in the sense that he had most of his success playing a half court, defensive focused, style in Indiana. Hopefully he's spent this summer transforming himself as a coach because the league isn't going to cater to his preferred style of play (and yet we have 4 centers and still lack shooting).

Exactly. Fournier as a playmaker means buddy ball with Vuc

The decision to add Ibaka and Biz last year was a disaster. Whether that was Henny or Vogel, I don't know. What I do know is that it forced us to play the people we paid and really hurt the development of our young guys.

It was a trial and error, wtf do we have year. I remember when Vogel commented how the development of the players were severely lacking. Then DJ even mentioned on more than one occasion how Vogel wasn't even running plays. After the break he started to see the areas, roles, and strengths/weaknesses that needed to be addressed.

The key going forward is defining players roles, players accepting those roles and building around that. Fournier is a solid 2nd, probably more 3rd option, and it needs to stay that way.

Idc how well you properly use someone You can't just make a guy whose offensive game relvoles around transition and dunks to average 20 a game.

Sure you can-Dwight Howard did it at least four years here

Dwight was a world class athlete who was 7 feet tall so, once again, like shaq--they don't need go to moves.

The argument that AG doesn't need a go to move on offense to average 20 a game because of Shaq and Dwight makes zero sense.

Shawn Marion had 2 seasons over 20. Gordon would have to probably shoot 50/35/80 and we would have to run a top 10 pace so its a reach.

Dwight posted up a lot too in his last few years here. Our entire offense revolved around it. And it failed miserably once teams stopped doubling him.
