Best and Worst Part of the Season Thread

Recommended Posts

What has been the best and worst part of the season for you?

Best: Admitting the Ibaka mistake and getting something for him

Worst: Payton's hair

Can hardly come up with a best, but the Ross trade gave us nice value, even if I think Ibaka was handed a **** sandwich. He should have played 5 with AG at the 4 and he barely got to do that.

Worst: Frank Vogel's caveman offense. Vucevic still being here

Best: Knowing I was right the past 3 years about this GM and team

Worst: Knowing I was right the past 3 years about this GM and team

I wished we made a splash and playoffs, I would of been happy to say I was wrong, shut up and watch my team win. I really do miss watching a winning team.

Also and add to the best, watching P4W go on mute for a bit... lol.... too soon?

Best: Hard to fine one. I'd say getting some type of descent return on Ibaka.

Worst: To many to list. But I'd say Mario's lack of progression has been really upsetting just because if he's a bust--it's really sets us back. If he's just like Devin Booker good, it changes the whole outlook of things. "Hey we have Booker and AG, if we get another good piece this draft we have hope". But as it is it's very bleak. Also, I'd say how well Saric looks is upsetting.

Agree on all fronts.

While I agree that Mario has been disappointing, especially with his shot which should be awesome (I've seen it being awesome at Barcelona), I have a feeling that our organization just doesn't know how to develop players. I don't know if Saric, Booker or even Porzingis would've looked as good here in Orlando.

We keep giving veterans shots and playing our young guys out of position and stunting their development.

It's really *****ing frustrating

This is valid and I wouldnt argue it. It's more frustrating when guys leave and become better players.

Best: West coast trip when we went 4-1, including win at San Antonio, and should have beat Memphis to go 5-0.

Worst: The rest of the season

It seems like we have a pattern of drafting players with specific strengths and pulling the players away from them to work on their weaknesses when really, we should be utilizing their strengths more.

We just tried to zig while everyone else was zagging and it failed miserably. The entire NBA has moved to fast-pace, small-ball with a ton of shooting and high offensive numbers. We decided to go big and play slow, and build a team around defense. It was a risk, in a lot of ways a really dumb risk, especially when you consider our two best prospects are significantly better when we play fast-paced.

Best part of the season for me would be the Oklahoma City win with Serge's game winner. At least that was one of the few games where I thought we'd have a chance to be something better than we wound up being.

Worst part of the season for me has been watching CJ Watson, DJ Augustin and Jeff Green all on the court at the same time, taking turns being terrible.

Yeah that too but that ties into what I'm saying. AG as Paul George? Should've never been. We can go back to Dipo with my point. I feel we are misusing Mario as well. Fournier being ball dominant too when he's not effective at it...Just seems we continuously shove the square peg into the round hole.
